Let's start by taking a deep cleansing breath.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Take a deep breath and breathe in all the good.
Fill your lungs with air.
Bring that air down to your belly and then exhale any negative,
Any bad.
Breathe in for clarity and exhale any confusion.
What if in every minute of every day we counted our blessings and we practiced gratitude?
Feeling grateful for all that is.
Is it possible?
Is it within your current thinking to remain grateful in every moment?
For this time together,
It is possible.
Take a deep breath in and draw strength from all the areas of your life.
As we focus on all the good,
There is no room for pity parties,
No room for feeling sorry for yourself,
And no saying,
Poor me.
We choose to get ourselves out of the way to see what is really there.
There is nowhere else to be right now but here.
Let everything be and let everything go.
Take a deep breath in and exhale as you relax even more.
I want you to think for a moment what the definition of these two words are.
Ungrateful,
Thanklessness,
Ungrateful,
And thanklessness.
What visions do they bring up?
Maybe thoughts of someone who isn't in a great place.
Being ungrateful or having thanklessness words.
We all have been there but the choice is ours to turn that around.
So we begin our days with gratitude starting every morning.
The first daylight that we see,
The first breath that we take in the morning.
The sounds of maybe voices of loved ones or chords of music that we hear.
Starting our day with gratitude with the appreciation of tasting some crisp,
Clean water or delicious hot coffee or tea.
Saying good morning.
Moving and knowing our heart is pumping blood to all parts of our body.
Gratitude.
Thoughts of abundance or lack doesn't exist.
Entering into your day feeling truly excited for what is to come.
Time with loved ones,
Time with friends,
Work,
Play,
Exercise.
Gratitude for what is makes the good better.
In the moments of the day,
A simple step can make you feel free.
Talking can bring a state of alertness and knowing what is surrounding us throughout our day brings peace.
Listening and being really attentive that leads to feeling engaged.
The world is beautiful and we are so lucky to live in this amazing world.
So gratitude and thankfulness.
Think of our earth,
Oxygen,
The moon and the sun.
Grateful for the stars above,
Animals and insects.
What about the internet?
Airs,
Cell phones,
Computers and technology.
Being thankful for transportation,
Movies,
Books and music.
When you practice gratitude,
Gratitude brings hope.
Gratitude brings energy.
Gratitude brings presence and presence.
I want you to take a moment to think what does gratitude feel like to you.
What one thing are you grateful for right now?
Maybe you are grateful for someone holding your hand or holding something dear to you.
Sitting and feeling comfortable,
A sense of safety.
Grateful for security with your work,
Living within your community,
Your finances.
Grateful for the scent of fresh cut grass,
The gorgeous sunset.
We are seeing the sun shine through the trees.
Maybe you are thinking of hearing the wind blowing through the leaves.
Grateful for food and the delicious taste of an apple.
So much to be grateful for.
How about the trickling water rolling over rocks in a stream?
Health,
Wisdom,
Friends,
Enemies because they help you uncover ways for you to be a better person.
Grateful for love and life's challenges.
Grateful for life.
Allow a smile to come across your face.
Smile in this moment and this moment and this moment.
So the past moment is gone so we're thankful for this moment.
When we're grateful time counts.
We don't lose the moments because the moments last.
Memories are made and they're deeper when we're mindful and we're in those moments and they are more meaningful.
Be grateful for who you are because you are touching the world with your presence.
Take a moment to just think of your breathing.
Think of your day,
Your moment right now.
Be in this moment and just count your blessings.
So you have arrived.
