Not every meditation is meant for you—and forcing yourself to “make it work” can actually disconnect you from your body. In this session, we talk about discernment… not as overthinking, but as learning how to feel what’s right for you. Your body is always giving you feedback: Does this feel grounding… or tense? Open… or contracted? Supportive… or overwhelming? The more you learn to listen, the more your practice becomes personal, safe, and actually effective. If you’ve ever felt like meditation wasn’t “working,” this might shift how you approach it completely.

Something that I really want you to think about is discernment with meditation.

So not discernment in a scary way,

Like you have to watch out for what people are putting out there.

I don't think people are putting meditations out there to trick you,

But learning to listen to your body pre and post meditation.

So often before my meditations,

I'll just take a second just to see where I am,

See where my emotions are,

See where my thoughts are.

And I like to check after to see where I am after and to see if anything cleared or I,

You know,

Became more productive.

I think that's wildly important.

And I've done a ton of certifications with a ton of different people.

And I never just took everything as full truth because I don't think we should.

I think we should filter because we're all so individual and completely unique.

So my meditations are a little bit different than the average meditations out there.

I think there are more people that feel busy or feel a bit sensitive and they want those micro meditations to meet them in those emotional moments that they might feel throughout the day,

But that won't work for everyone.

So you really need to find your instructor that works for you and listen to yourself and you'll know what resonates.

Don't force yourself to do a meditation that you don't enjoy and doesn't impact you after.

So keep experimenting.

If mine work great,

But sometimes my music can be too loud for people.

But for me it helps me really visualize.

And for me,

It brings me right in.

Sometimes,

You know,

You'll find certain instructors you really enjoy and then one of their meditations doesn't work,

Then just maybe skip it for now and come back to it later.

So use your discernment when you're doing your meditation and any of your work that you're doing and don't feel like you have to take it all as truth.

That's something I've really learned all over all the courses I've done over the years is to really listen to my body.

We are completely unique individuals that need to have very specified things.

So be okay with that.

And if my meditations work for you,

I'm thrilled.

And if they don't,

I hope I open a door and you find someone that does.

And what I find is I go in phases where I love this instructor and then I feel more resonant with this and it changes just like you will.

So I wish you the best of luck and I hope it helps.
