Everyone needs a break sometimes.
Your needs matter.
Thank yourself for making yourself a priority,
Even if it's just for these next few moments.
Allow yourself to sit comfortably.
Gently close your eyes and tune into your breath.
Place your hands gently on your low belly.
Feel it rise to meet your hands as you breathe in and fall as you breathe out.
Observe your current state without judgment.
As you let your awareness expand from your breath to your body as a whole,
Notice any tense muscles throughout your body.
Give space for sensations you feel in your body.
Notice how gravity tethers you to the earth.
Notice how you are supported by the ground beneath your feet,
The surface beneath your body.
Notice how good it feels to be held.
Just be present to your body,
Connected with your breath.
Let yourself be exactly how you are in this moment.
There's nothing you need to change,
Nothing to do.
This moment is simply you,
Your breath,
And your body.
If thoughts come up,
That's normal.
Let the thought pass by and bring your awareness back to your breath and your body.
Work to notice anything in your body that you've not been giving attention to.
Just feel your breath rise and fall.
Notice where you feel the breath in your body.
Don't judge yourself when you start to get distracted.
Just gently come back to your breath and your body.
There's nothing else for you to do right now.
Try to find that peaceful place within yourself.
Travel down into yourself,
Into your inner sanctuary.
All that exists here is your breath and a sense of presence in your body.
You are your own.
Your body is your own.
You can choose to offer yourself freely as a gift of love to those around you.
And you are allowed to have boundaries around your body.
Thank yourself for taking the time to clear your mind.
Find gratitude and thank yourself for taking these five minutes to center and calm.
Invite gentle movement into your body.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes back to the world around you.
