Many of us may be feeling like we've been in hibernation physically and energetically. The new year offers us a perfect time to invite in fresh energy, the energy renewal, and rebirth, the energy of spring. This 10-minute guided meditation uses mindful presence, visualization, and affirmations to invite freshness into your mind, space, and body.

Welcome to this meditation called inviting in freshness where we will take some time to invite freshness that feeling of freshness into our minds into our bodies into our energy and I invite you to come into a comfortable position in your body so that can be laying down that can be sitting on a chair sitting on a cushion whatever feels good to you in the right here and the right now and just bring some awareness that your legs your seat your hands are all in a comfortable position in this meditation I invite you to have palms facing upwards because we are inviting in energy so we want to make ourselves ready to receive and as always you can keep your eyes closed or you can rest your gaze just right out in front of you so just take a moment and start to tune back into your breath just become aware of the sounds around you the faraway sounds the close by sounds become aware of the feeling of the air on your skin the areas of warmth and coolness on your body bring some awareness to how your breath is moving through your body without seeking to change just noticing it feels as if we've truly been in hibernation over these last few months many times in confined spaces in periods of introspection and self-reflection and maybe we feel that it's time to come out of hibernation come out of what I kind of conceptualize as a spiritual winter and move into the freshness of spring so I invite you to begin to imagine a beautiful spring day the sky is blue with just a few clouds the trees are beginning to turn that beautiful fresh limey green of springtime the flowers are blooming and popping up in beautiful colors all around you red and pink and purple and orange you breathe in the air and it is fresh see yourself on this beautiful spring day see the colors feel the grass maybe under your feet or under your hands see the clouds moving by feel the air warm but just with a slight coolness to it in the breeze and feel the Sun warming your skin and as you breathe breathe in the freshness of this day breathe in the freshness this glorious day is offering you breathe in the promise of this day the glory of rebirth and renewal of nature creating beauty of nature and the earth creating newness and new life and begin to feel that newness that spirit of renewal and rebirth within you as you breathe in this new day know that you are also new you are also fresh you are fully present in this moment of freshness of springtime of new life and while you continue to breathe and feeling this beautiful spring day present with you right here right now I invite you to speak these next few phrases with me either louder in your head I invite in freshness I welcome in springtime to my life I am renewed I am vibrant I am vital I feel my own aliveness I am grateful for my aliveness I have the capacity to be reborn each year I have the capacity to be reborn in each moment I am aware I am present I am fresh and new I am surrounded by the energy of freshness and newness I am grateful and when you are ready you can release your vision of this beautiful spring day and come back to your breath come back to your body come back to hearing the sounds around you and know that the freshness the energy of newness and new life you've invited into your space into your body into your energy can stay with you and will stay with you and when you're ready you can open your eyes
