Hello and welcome.
I'm Katia Vasconcelos and today I want to share something personal that has come up quite a lot recently for me and an invitation for you too.
It's about living more from our essence rather than just from our individual selves.
To me this is what it truly means to be fully alive.
It's about stepping back from the drama and expectations that we,
By the way,
Create that often weigh us down and embracing the joy and lightness that allow our true essence to flow and come through us.
What if we didn't live in constant pursuit of success or validation?
What if instead of being bogged down by our endless to-do lists and the pressures of life,
We could actually show up fully?
Whether we're doing laundry or having a difficult conversation or simply enjoying maybe a walk in nature.
What if we could let go and allow life to flow through us?
Serving not just our personal selves and our personal lives,
But contributing to something greater.
Have you thought about it?
In my understanding,
This is the essence of life.
To live fully present,
To act from a place of lightness and connection and to let go of the idea that we are separate from the rest of life.
Let's begin by inviting you to imagine a different way of being.
One where life is less about chasing goals or fixing things and more about embracing the present moment.
Picture yourself feeling lighter,
More connected,
More at peace and less overwhelmed.
Think about this.
How often do we truly allow ourselves to have fun or feel joy in our daily lives?
Could we do more of it?
When we step away from the drama and expectations that we place on ourselves,
Something beautiful happens there.
We create space for our essence to flow,
Our true selves.
In those moments of laughter and lightness,
We become alive in a way that transcends our everyday concerns.
What if right now,
Instead of trying to figure everything out or seeking the next big thing,
We simply allowed ourselves to be?
When we embrace lightness,
We naturally connect with our deeper self,
Our essence.
And this essence isn't separate from life.
So it's like not even your essence or my essence,
It's live essence.
It's part of everything.
From this place,
Even the most mundane tasks like making coffee or walking the dog can become joyful and meaningful offerings rather than just coarse.
So how do we create space for our essence to flow then?
One way is to let go of the way we often carry and here are a few practices that I suggest and you might consider,
Maybe you already do them,
But I'll mention them anyway.
So meditation is one of them,
Big one.
Spend a few moments in stillness and focus on your breath and let go of your thoughts and be in that space.
Self-observation is a really,
Really good one as well.
Noticing your thoughts and feelings without judgment and allowing them to come and go.
I also love mindful walking or mindful doing anything really.
Paying attention to what you're doing or if you're walking to the surroundings and immerse yourself in the experience,
In the sensations of the moment.
Again,
Without analyzing or judging.
Journaling is an amazing practice as well.
When you write freely about your thoughts and experiences,
Letting your true feelings and thoughts surface.
And one of my favorites,
Gratitude practice.
This is so beautiful,
So simple and so powerful.
When you reflect on the little joys and moments in life and you take that moment to appreciate each one of them,
Including yourself.
Now let's explore some reflective questions to guide you deeper into this connection.
I invite you to think about them now,
The answers,
Or actually after this audio,
You could sit down with your journal and let it flow and let it come.
Or any other time that you feel like it.
But there are questions that you can answer.
I mean,
Ask and answer anytime.
So the first one is,
What would your higher self,
Your deeper,
Truest self,
We can call it your spiritual self,
Do or think in this situation?
The second one is,
How do you want to feel about this,
Whatever it is that's going on for you now?
Not just in your head,
But in your heart.
What would be the easiest or most joyful thing to do right now?
How might this situation look five years from now?
Does it still feel as important?
So these questions aren't about quick answers.
These questions aren't about quick answers.
They're invitations to pause,
Take a breath,
And connect with something more authentic than the usual rush of life.
These moments of reflection help us set back from the individual that is always striving and in some ways reconnect with the present moment where our essence lives.
When we embrace lightness and joy,
We begin to see the world differently.
Our actions transform from personal gain to offerings to life itself.
I mean,
How beautiful is that?
Whether it's a small gesture like smiling at a stranger or navigating challenges with grace,
Everything can be done with a sense of service or maybe even wonder.
And when I say service,
I mean service to ourselves,
To others,
And to life as a whole.
Now imagine if every moment,
Every breath,
Was an opportunity to give to life,
To offer the best of ourselves,
Not out of obligation,
But simply because we can.
We all have something to share,
Our presence,
Our kindness,
Our joy.
And when we give from our When we give from our essence,
It enriches our lives and uplifts everything around us.
I want to leave you today with a letter from the heart.
It's from Elizabeth Gilbert's project Letters from Love,
A reflection that beautifully speaks to this idea of living from essence.
It reminds us to step out of the constant doing and return to simply being.
Here's the letter.
There's no day coming when you will have made it.
There's no moment sometime in the future when you will figure it out and then you can get on with things.
There's no time when it will all be sorted.
No day when you find it and then you will relax.
No achieving it,
Earning it,
Mastering it,
And then you will finally take a deep breath and your mind will be clear from the idea that there's anything that still has to be done.
There is no it.
But if you could just try hard enough or get disciplined or enlightened or clever or tuned in enough,
Then you could float down the river with ease.
There is no it that exists somewhere else,
Sometime else.
There's only this.
This letter beautifully reminds us that there's no final destination where everything is fixed or perfect.
The beauty lies in the present,
The here and now.
It's about embracing this moment,
Trusting that simply being here as you are is enough.
As we close today,
I invite you to carry this sense of lightness and presence with you.
Whatever you're doing next,
Whether it's cooking,
Driving,
Or working,
Approach it as an offering to life itself.
Invite yourself to feel connected,
Not just your own desires or goals,
But to something bigger.
Remember life is always unfolding and the magic happens when we're present enough to notice it.
Thank you for being here and thank you for listening.
Until next time,
Take care and stay present.
