In this children's meditation, we begin with a color breathing technique, then move into a visualization practice. Meet the fun fairies of the forest, reflect on your favorite happy memory, and imagine a happy new memory. This helps bring gratitude and hope rooted in joy for the child through their fairy practice. We sing a fairy song to help call on the fairies, this helps teach your child to use their voice and imagination.

Fairies dwell in very sacred places in Mother Nature.

Today,

Let's journey and venture out to find them.

As you breathe in,

I want you to picture the color yellow coming into your body.

And as you breathe out,

Picturing the color pink.

As you breathe out and see the color pink,

I want you to make a noise.

Any noise that feels joyful and fun to you.

Let's do this together now for three breaths.

Breathing in the color yellow.

And breathing out,

Making noise,

Seeing the color pink.

Breathing in the yellow.

And breathing out with the color pink.

This time,

Make any noise that you'd like.

Breathing in yellow.

And breathing out pink.

Ayyyyy.

Alright,

Doesn't that feel good?

I want you to blink your eyes open and closed ten times.

Count with me now as we do this.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine,

Ten.

Let's do it a little faster.

One more time as fast as you can go.

Count to ten.

Could you keep up?

I invite you to close your eyes now and let them relax after that little workout.

Where are we going to go today to meet these joyful fairies?

You may have guessed it,

We're going to the forest.

See your entranceway to the forest in front of you.

Whether that's a door,

An archway,

Whatever it may be.

Make your way through this entrance to the forest.

Fairies can be found on fairy mounds,

Which are these tiny little hills in the forest.

No bigger than the size of a hula hoop.

They can also be found in trees.

You may see doors as the entranceway to a fairy's home at the base of a tree or near a rock garden.

Let's move around this forest now,

Looking for fairy mounds or fairy doors.

Okay,

I hope you found one.

Let's call in the fairies to come and meet us now.

To do this,

We're going to do a little song.

I want you to repeat after me.

Fairies,

Fairies,

Where are you?

Fairies,

Fairies,

Pink,

White,

Blue.

Fairies,

Fairies,

I want to meet you.

Let's do the last line one more time.

Fairies,

Fairies,

I want to meet you.

The fairies are arriving.

Can you hear their fairy wings?

What colors are the fairies that are flying towards you now?

Take a moment to get to know them.

They love to play and are always being silly and having a good time.

They are playing and showing you their fun right now.

Watch them play,

Be silly,

And have fun.

Amazing!

Now,

It's your turn to show them through your imagination your favorite memory of the most fun you've ever had.

Show them that favorite memory now.

The fairies ask you,

What is something in your future that you want to do for fun?

Now,

Using your imagination,

Show them this fun time that you want to have.

Amazing!

The fairies smile at you.

Feel free to smile back and maybe share some giggles with them.

Thank the fairy for showing up today,

Giving them hugs or high fives,

Whatever you want.

The fairies make their way back into the forest.

And you can make your way back to your entranceway.

Amazing work!

Wasn't that fun meeting some joyful fairies?

I hope they brought a smile to your face.
