Welcome to this guided chakra meditation to help assist you with depression.

Each chakra can become imbalanced when we are experiencing depression.

It may be that the chakras were imbalanced and that brought forth depression or the depression assisted the chakras in lowering their vibration making it difficult to connect to balance,

Health and happiness.

As you listen to this practice some techniques will speak more strongly to you than others.

It all depends on what your conscious mind is ready to embrace.

I invite you to have an open heart and an open mind as we connect to your inner knowing and the wellness that is within you.

We will begin with the crown chakra.

Soften your mind and any pressure that you may feel around your scalp,

Your eyes and your head.

Take a couple of deep breaths and close your eyes if you haven't already done so.

We intentionally soften any connections your mind holds that are unsupportive.

Pessimism,

Doubt,

Negativity and fear.

We invite these thoughts to soften and be released from your mind up into the sky as we make space.

We make space to arrive in this moment,

This moment of neutrality,

Breathing in neutrality and exhaling and releasing unsupportive energy for three deep breaths.

When your crown chakra connects you to purpose,

To your highest self and divine support,

If you feel connected to spirit helpers,

Guardian angels,

Gurus or guides,

Call on them now to hold a safe and loving space for you.

And we call upon positive,

Loving,

Universal energy to surround you and flow through you.

Lovely.

Now,

Inexistence is your highest self,

Also known as your soul truth or your soul.

We often get pulled by our emotional body,

Mental and physical body away from our higher self.

Especially while we experience depression,

Our highest potential can feel very far away from us.

What is your highest potential?

Connect with it now.

See,

Feel or sense it.

Maybe it's a mirror image of you,

But slightly different.

Maybe it's a color,

A white light or just a feeling.

Connect with your soul truth now for three deep breaths.

Wonderful.

Is your soul truth loving?

Is it happy and calm?

Whatever it is,

Invite it into you.

Allow yourself to embody this deep truth.

Let it flow into your body,

Your mind and your heart,

Shining its radiance upon any darkness.

Beautiful connection.

Now let's connect to your intuition of your third eye.

To deeply connect,

You must surrender your thoughts.

You can invite your thoughts to take a time out for a minute and create a space.

Create a little room for your intuition to come through.

Your intuition stems from the vibration of love and is all knowing.

I'd like for you to connect to your inner truth.

You may ask a question to your higher self to discover your path more in depth.

Some questions I enjoy are,

What gift is my experience of depression giving me?

Or from the perspective of love,

What do I need to know about this depression?

Choose which one feels best to you.

I will repeat them one more time and give you a moment to receive clarity from your inner knowing as you connect to the answer.

What do I need to know about this depression?

Lovely work.

Whatever did or did not connect for you,

Accept it as it is at this time.

It is powerful to intuitively connect to depression as you can begin to view it from your higher self in the field of love instead of fear and ego.

We move into the throat chakra.

The throat chakra is balanced when it is honest with the truth of your heart,

Your soul,

Mind and body.

Let's honor all of your truths.

If you feel depressed,

Can you also connect to love,

To gratitude,

To positivity and hope?

You can.

I know it can feel impossible,

But sometimes we need to instigate a smile before feeling joy.

Instead of feeling our joy,

Instigate our smile.

We're going to use the power of words to connect to an inner truth.

Trust me on this.

I want you to smile and repeat after me.

Right now,

In this moment,

I am alive and I am grateful to be alive.

My heart and mind may feel depression at times,

But deep down I know I am so much more.

I can't always feel it or see it.

But inside of me,

There is peace.

Inside of me,

There is joy.

There is love.

And I trust that when I stay present,

Joy,

Peace and love will rise to the surface and be felt.

Amazing.

Now just breathe for a moment.

Be gently smiling and let your body connect to these words and to this smile.

Wonderful.

Let's move to your heart chakra.

This is a big center for depression.

The emotional center can be very exhausted,

Feeling a lack of joy,

Love and balance and feeling an overabundance of negativity,

Stress and sadness.

The base of the heart chakra is love and we can feel cut off from that truth.

It's always love,

But depression can create a fog or a shadow that disconnects us from feeling that love,

That light.

Let's try and consciously connect to it now.

What is love?

While love in its highest vibration does not judge,

It does not classify things as good or bad.

When we are actively living from the heart,

We hold space for all of our emotions.

This practice may feel difficult,

But it becomes easier and softer with time.

Let's love all of our emotions and hold space for them.

First,

Let's connect to a high and pure vibration of love.

I want you to bring to mind a time or a relationship where you felt very loved in your life.

It can be a time of self-love or feeling loved by another.

Connect to that feeling right now.

Feel it like a warm blanket being coddled around you and holding you in these arms of love embracing you.

Wonderful.

Now,

We are going to use this feeling of love to hold and cradle your emotions in love,

In this same love that's coming from deep within your heart.

Let's begin with a more positively viewed emotion,

Joy.

I want you to try and connect with joy inside of you now.

If you can't connect with it right now,

See a joyful memory from your past,

A time when you were smiling or having fun.

Wrap this emotion,

This moment in love,

Loving it like a person,

Holding space for it.

Lovely.

Now,

Let's see a time that you felt despair or sadness,

Or if this emotion is present now,

Connect with it.

And let's again wrap it in love,

Like a warm hug,

A soft embrace,

Accepting,

Loving,

And holding space for this emotion,

Just as you did the joyful emotion.

Wonderful.

Now allow whatever emotion to arise from your heart that has been feeling unwanted or rejected.

See and feel it.

And open your heart,

Embrace it in love,

In acceptance.

It is safe for it to be here.

It is loved.

It is honored.

It is okay.

Wonderful.

No matter how you feel,

Sometimes it can bring calmness to the heart simply by allowing yourself to feel your feelings judgment-free.

When we move into the solar plexus chakra in your upper optimum,

The center of self-love can feel disconnected when we are depressed.

We honor our self-love through self-care.

Again,

Like that smile that can instigate the joy,

We can take the loving action first to feel the self-love.

Let's connect to a loving action right now.

I want you to gently massage your heart center,

The center of your chest,

Slowly massaging it with a circular motion.

This is tending to your emotional center that has been on a heavy journey.

You are offering love through gentle touch.

Doesn't that feel comforting?

Continue massaging for a few gentle breaths.

Now taking your right hand and gently placing it around your left bicep,

Grasping it and folding your left arm on top of the right,

Gently grasping your right bicep with your left hand.

Your shoulders are relaxed and your elbows are heavy,

Drooping towards the floor.

Take a deep breath and receive this hug,

This self-love hug.

You are composed of love and embracing yourself in this moment,

You wrap yourself in this love.

Continue into this embrace for a few deep breaths.

Wonderful work with loving action.

And we move to your sacral chakra in your lower belly.

We release any shame,

Guilt or judgment that you carry tied to depression and we replace it with acceptance.

What would it look like if you accepted depression,

If you accepted all of your emotions and all of your thoughts?

I want you to picture it.

How would you be different when feeling and experiencing depression?

Can you allow yourself to accept it right now?

And can you accept it with words,

Saying,

I accept that I feel depression at times.

It's okay.

I accept that I feel depressed at times and it's okay.

How does that feel to say those words?

What if you accepted it instead of rejected it?

Do you think life would be easier?

Things do not shift with ease in the face of judgment as you know,

But in the face of love,

The river begins to flow and transformation can occur.

I grant you courage to accept your light and your dark,

To trust that there is good within all.

Everyone and everything desires to be loved.

Just love all parts of you.

Wonderful.

Coming down to the root chakra,

We cannot always control our environment or our outer world,

But we do have control of our inner world.

Sometimes,

With depression,

We need only to accept it,

To love it,

And it softens or releases.

But sometimes we need to step into our creator role and create a joyful life.

Often both are needed,

But it's up to you to discern what feels best.

Your root chakra is about taking action when you can to create your healthy,

Whole,

Happy life.

I'm going to give you some time to reflect on these three questions.

What actions can you take to help you experience more moments of joy?

Are there actions you've been taking that cause you suffering?

Are you ready to take joyful actions and create more moments of joy?

I believe in you and your ability to take small steps that will lead to more joy-filled experiences for you.

Accept to the truth of your higher self.

Go after joy internally and externally because you can,

And when you can't,

Rest in acceptance of all that you are and all that you feel.

I send so much love and light to you now and always.

I'm grateful for your existence,

And I see the light in you.

Even when it may feel like you're in a dark room,

There is always light within you.

And if you can't see that light,

Trust that it is there and it will shine brightly once again.
