Today's practice is based on a beautiful Sanskrit mantra known as So Hum. Essentially, this mantra means, “I am That”—I am pure awareness or consciousness. It’s a contemplation on the profound mystery of our being. The mantra can be chanted with music or as a concentration practice with the breath. Eventually, the chant will give way to a deep inner silence. To begin, come into the present moment, take a few deep breaths, and then absorb your body and mind in the sound. If you'd like to hear the music track by itself (no talking), you can find it on my profile under the title "So Hum”.
