Welcome to this laughter meditation.

Laughter is a powerful tool for reducing stress,

Boosting mood and promoting overall well-being.

In this meditation we'll combine meditation techniques with laughter to help you relax,

Release tension and embrace joy.

So let's begin.

Finding a comfortable seated position and closing your eyes if you wish.

So bringing your awareness to your breath,

Let's start by taking in a few deep breaths into your body and out of your body.

So inhaling deeply through your nose and then exhaling slowly through your mouth.

Slowing your breath to a pace that feels comfortable for you and on each out breath allowing any tension or stress to melt away.

Now gently bringing a smile to your face,

Imagining this smile radiating out warmth and happiness throughout all your body.

Feeling this smile move up towards your eyes and the top of your head and then allowing this smile to move slowly down your body,

Through your shoulders,

Your torso and your hips,

Your knees all the way down to the bottom of your feet.

Now that we have connected with the smile within you,

Let's begin with a few little soft giggles.

You can imagine something funny or you can just start with a little giggle.

Don't worry if it feels silly,

It's all part of the process.

Feel how the giggle feels in your throat.

Continue to giggle.

Now let's build the intensity of this giggle to being a little louder,

A little more infectious and imagining this laughter spreading from your heart to your whole body.

Notice how it feels in your body,

Notice how your chest vibrates with the laughter.

And now coming to the peak of our laughter,

Allowing yourself to laugh freely and openly.

Picturing yourself in a room full of joyous,

Happy,

Laughing people,

Laughing together.

Don't hold back,

Let the laughter flow.

It's okay to feel a little silly and sound a little silly but that's okay,

That's part of the goal.

I will stop laughing now and allow you to continue laughing.

And now as the laughter begins to slow down,

Imagining waves of laughter washing over you like gentle ocean waves.

Each wave becomes lighter and lighter.

You feel this lightness in your laughter and you feel this lightness in your body.

So allowing the laughter to ebb and flow and now as the laughter subsides,

Returning your awareness back to your breathing.

Allowing this deep sense of relaxation to enter your body.

Feeling the lightness in your heart and the peace in your mind as your breath goes into your body and out of your body.

And now before we finish,

Just taking a moment to reflect on the joy you've experienced during this laughter meditation.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to laugh and to feel light-hearted.

Feeling this gratitude within your heart and allowing this sense of gratitude to spread beyond your heart throughout your entire body.

When you're ready,

Slowly opening your eyes and remembering that laughter is a wonderful way to release stress and invite positivity into your life.

You can return to this meditation whenever you wish to add a little more laughter into your day.

Thank you for joining me for this meditation.

Carrying the positive energy and laughter with you throughout your day.

Share a smile or laugh with someone around you and remember that joy is always within your reach.

Have a wonderful day filled with laughter and happiness.
