Hello and welcome.
Today's meditation is for dealing with addiction.
As we begin this meditation,
I invite you to bring awareness to why you chose this topic,
How your belly,
Chest,
And head feel when you reflect on the idea of meditating to deal with addiction,
Any emotions that you may associate with this feeling,
The positive or negative impacts of any stories you believe regarding this topic,
The fact that many others are feeling similarly as you,
How you might feel with an increased awareness around this topic when you can apply increased mindfulness to this topic in your day-to-day life.
Addiction comes in many forms and although it is different for everyone,
It is also very difficult for everyone.
Let's begin by taking five deep breaths together.
Breathe in,
Allow your belly to expand as wide as you can and exhale any tension in your body.
Breathe in,
Relaxation.
Exhale,
Judgment.
Take another deep breath in and listen closely to this very important message.
Even though hypnosis and meditation can be powerful tools in overcoming challenges and facilitating change,
It is up to you to help yourself and ask others for help during this powerful process.
It will be up to you to set a schedule,
To keep your readings up to date,
To keep your rehabilitation on track,
Mark your milestones and maintain sobriety.
So let's begin.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Ensure that you will not be disturbed.
It is critical to know the root cause of your addiction.
So as you breathe and relax,
Your conscious mind will let go even further and the subconscious mind will be allowed to fully receive these positive affirmations.
As you breathe in,
Say to yourself,
I will overcome addiction safely.
I will work slowly towards this wonderful change.
I can take my time and have compassion for myself during hard times.
It is easy for me to always keep the goal of recovery from addiction in my thoughts throughout the day.
I know that I have the power and the love within my heart to break free from this addiction and become who I truly am.
Now say to your subconscious,
Please help me fully understand the root cause of my addiction.
Remember to breathe here.
Continue to speak to your subconscious.
I know that I can gain a great deal of relief by letting go of addiction.
I understand that withdrawal symptoms can be dangerous.
Therefore,
I allow others to care for me in order to let my body and mind recover.
So now that you have relaxed,
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Ensure that you will not be disturbed.
So now that you have relaxed,
Take a moment to listen to any messages that you may need that will help you ground and help you towards your goal.
In times of intense temptation,
It is our solid relationship it is our solid relationship that carry us through the storm.
It is your responsibility now to ask these individuals to help you when you need it and it is vital that you do so.
You do this from now on and do not hesitate to ask for their connection.
Know that these people are delighted that you have asked them and honored that you trust them.
I invite you to bring a person to your mind,
Someone that is helping you along the way.
Allow the image of this person or maybe many people to rise into your mind.
Allow the feelings of love and compassion to rise with them.
Accept their offer to be with you and accept their love.
Look this person or look these people deeply into their eyes and say,
I need you.
They smile and hug you,
Forming a trust.
Forming a trust.
Drug and alcohol addiction are powerful.
Your body has come to rely on the substance,
So it is extremely important to never go cold turkey.
The detox can be deadly.
During this transition,
It is important to have medical assistance so they can get you through safely.
Think of the detox portion of addiction as going through the process of giving birth.
As a person gives birth,
They are surrounded by those who are As a person gives birth,
They are surrounded by those who care for them and those who can assist with any medical scenario as it arises.
Every birth is different,
Just like every withdrawal is different.
Yet,
They are also similar in many ways.
As this transition can be difficult for a birthing person,
The result is a new life,
A new love to cherish.
And when you break through the detox withdrawal,
You too are born again.
You too are born again.
In birth,
A person is surrounded by support,
Medical experts,
Just as withdrawing from addiction can be.
Before giving birth,
Someone once said,
It is the hardest thing you will ever do,
But it's the best thing you will ever do.
Just remember this advice because it also applies to detox.
You are committing to a radical and difficult change.
By removing addiction from your life,
You will have opened up the world of endless possibilities.
But for some,
Many times things may feel like they are missing,
And that is completely normal.
So now listen to your subconscious closely.
Let it give you new ideas of things you can do with your newly acquired time now,
Like walking in nature or spending time on healthy friends and family.
Like walking in nature or spending time on healthy friendships.
Just open and listen.
Taking care of your body will help your body heal from the powerful effects of your addiction.
Eating healthy is the first step.
And it is a lifetime commitment.
Even though you may think sugary foods,
Salty snacks taste good,
They are not always good for our bodies.
As best you can,
Eliminate eating out and take out food.
Each day,
Strive to cook at home.
See yourself enjoying this new task.
Cooking healthy foods at home has replaced an addictive behavior.
And as you see the immediate result and how much joy cooking brings you,
Exercise is also very important.
If you don't get much regular exercise,
Start by going slow.
Take long walks in an area that is outdoors and pass it through.
As you walk,
Gaze at the plants and trees,
Feel them supporting you in your journey.
They do provide you with oxygen,
After all.
And they do provide you with a place to rest.
If you notice a troublesome thought coming your way,
Look at nature and appreciate the oxygen by taking a deep breath.
Breath and oxygen remove toxins from the body.
And help us to heal in every way.
Now listen closely,
As what is about to be said is extremely important.
The task of shutting out longtime friends and family is not a simple task.
And avoiding areas known for drug use can be extremely difficult during the early days of sobriety.
Taking these steps is critical to the success of your recovery.
The more you break away from old drug-oriented activities and people,
The more likely you will be successful in your self-guided rehabilitation.
And the more you do,
The more likely you will be successful in your self-guided rehabilitation.
So finding new social activities is beneficial and worth the effort required.
The ideas for where to be social will just come to you.
Be open to these new ideas and make the leap into a healthy social change.
Think of the gain and what life gifts you.
Think of what you will receive by letting go completely of this addiction.
Know that you have the power and great natural love in your heart to break free from this addiction.
And live as you truly are.
Allow any messages you have waited for so long to arrive.
Breathe and take this important time for yourself.
You deserve it.
You must believe in yourself.
If you are truly willing to let go of these destructive habits and addiction,
I invite you to take three deep breaths.
Think of the gain and what you will receive by letting go completely of this addiction.
You are gaining great power of will,
Which stabilizes your life.
The future you can make of it,
What you will.
I will end our time together with this quote.
Emptiness is a symptom.
You are not living life creatively.
Maxwell Maltz I thank you so much for taking this time to breathe into yourself.
To take care of you.
Remember to take it one step at a time.
Remember to take it one day at a time.
Minute by minute.
Second by second.
I am so proud of you.
And when you are ready to exit,
You can pause this recording.
You can repeat it whenever you need.
Continue to send love and kindness to yourself as you enter into this new world of sobriety.
Thank you,
My friends.
