Hello and welcome to this week's episode of the Wild Free Will podcast.
So I'm excited to be here as always.
Today we are finally recording the podcast that I set out to record,
I guess almost three weeks ago now.
So yeah,
Today I am here to talk to you about what to do when your manifestations aren't working.
So all of this ties into this series of creating a life that you love and really taking steps forward to make sure that your life looks and feels and is,
I guess,
The way that you want it to be.
So we're not playing small,
We're not wasting time,
We are really coming at our life with an intentional sort of energy.
And so the first episode was about how to kind of stop compromising and sacrificing and particularly within your relationships.
And then also a little bit about how that kind of impacts you,
Like how you,
Your relationship with yourself too,
The ways that you might be compromising your values and so on and so forth.
And the episode after that was about how to hold higher standards for yourself.
So how to really like show up in a way that keeps you empowered and embodied and so on and so forth.
So today in this episode,
I'm going to give you a different way to work towards your manifestations.
So this is something that I realized,
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine and I just,
I was realizing that there were certain areas of my life where I was really confident,
I was feeling really good,
I was feeling really powerful,
Feeling really in control.
And there were other areas where that wasn't necessarily true.
And like when you look at these areas,
There's no reason why in one area like I should be confident or feel really good and in another area I shouldn't.
So yeah,
I just,
I realized like I was talking to some friends about like something that was going on in my life.
I was like in a situation where I was meeting some new people and kind of putting myself outside of my comfort zone,
Let's say.
And talking to my friends,
They were like,
Oh,
Well,
Were you nervous to meet these people?
And like how were you feeling about that?
Because if I was in your shoes,
I would have been really nervous.
And my response to them was,
Are you kidding?
No,
I wasn't nervous at all.
I was made for this.
And like that level of confidence is,
And I mean it,
Like I really mean it.
In this particular instance,
Like of like meeting new people and stuff like that,
Like I really don't feel any kind of nerves at all.
One,
Because you can't really control what other people think of you anyways.
So worrying about that is just a colossal waste of time.
But then also because like I know where I naturally thrive.
And meeting new people happens to be one of those situations where it's like it's really not a big deal for me.
Like it comes easily to me.
I'm happy to talk to anybody.
I can talk about pretty much any conversation,
About any topic,
Sorry.
And it's not like a huge issue.
So like none of that was scary.
None of it was like concerning for me.
I just like showed up as all of who I am and went forward with that.
And it was like,
The thing that was surprising though was that energy.
Like,
Are you kidding?
I was made for this.
I was made for this.
And then when I think about other areas in my life where I sometimes struggle,
That level of confidence just isn't present.
It isn't,
It's like I'm not really working to transfer the skills that I naturally have in one area and apply them to other areas of my life.
And I thought that was really interesting because like whenever we hear about manifesting,
It's usually like this idea of,
Okay,
Well,
I put my order into the cosmic ATM or the cosmic Amazon and I just kind of wait for the universe to drop it at my feet.
And like meanwhile,
Yeah,
Maybe I take some actions and maybe I do whatever and blah,
Blah,
Blah.
But it's really kind of this like,
It's very transactional.
And a lot of it has to do with surrender and surrender is massively important and I genuinely believe that as well.
But I really thought that this was so different.
Like I'd never heard anybody talking about this before and it had never occurred to me before either.
When I want to manifest something,
If I'm working towards a goal,
Why can't I find a path to transfer the confidence that I have in one area of my life to another?
So if I was to be honest with you,
With you all,
The place where I probably feel the least secure is in business,
I think.
In every other area,
I'm pretty okay with whatever happens.
But I think that where I get tripped up the most and where I run into the most limiting beliefs,
I think is definitely within building this business.
And so that is so interesting to me because when I think about that and I think about this attitude towards meeting new people,
Well,
Even within my business,
My business is just about meeting new people and helping them move towards their goals and kind of learning how to express how I do that.
So learning to express how I help people get from where they are to where they want to be,
Essentially.
And why can't I then apply this attitude of,
Are you kidding?
I was made for this,
To my business,
Right?
And what effect would that have on manifesting all the goals that I'm working towards?
Whatever those goals may be,
Right?
And I think that you can apply this to any area.
But I think that it starts with figuring out,
Okay,
So if I was to break down this process for you guys,
The first thing I would say is,
What is an area of your life that you are naturally confident in?
And it is impossible,
So don't even start if your mind is going there,
It is impossible that you are not confident in at least one area of your life.
There is something that you do really well.
There is something that you do maybe even better than other people if we really want to get into that game.
We want to try to avoid comparison,
But if it helps you get clear,
What is something that you do better than other people?
Okay?
What area is that in?
Like,
It doesn't make a difference.
Are you really good at relationships?
Are you really good at talking to people?
Are you really good at sales and business?
Are you really good at networking,
At work?
Are you really good at,
Like,
I don't know,
Resolving conflicts between colleagues and your boss?
Like,
It doesn't make a difference,
Whatever it is.
Are you the best mom on planet earth?
Like,
It does not matter what it is that you're good at,
Just think about what it is.
Okay?
What area are you naturally confident in?
And then,
The next step is,
Once you've identified what that area is,
And maybe getting a little bit more detailed about the situation,
I want you to ask yourself,
How does that feel for me?
So when I'm in this area,
When I'm in this situation,
When I'm in this kind of zone,
My zone of genius,
Let's say,
How does it feel?
And so,
Like,
For me,
If I was to describe,
Like,
Again,
This idea of,
Like,
With relationships and,
Like,
Meeting new people,
For me it feels inevitable.
There is no,
Like,
Kind of question in my mind,
Because if somebody doesn't like me in any case,
There's absolutely nothing I can do about it.
So I think that that takes a lot of the fear out of it as well,
Because I don't need this person to like me,
And I can't force this person to like me.
So I have to believe that they're going to like me,
And it's sort of inevitable that way,
And then whatever happens from there happens,
Right?
I'm totally out of control of the situation.
I'm only able to control the way that I show up and the way that I behave,
And that's pretty much it.
But the outcome is not in my control.
And I think that's manifesting in general,
Isn't it?
Because at the end of the day,
You're declaring what you want,
You're saying what you're calling in,
But how,
When that shows up is really totally out of your control.
You can take action,
You can move towards it,
And that's exactly what we're talking about now,
Isn't it?
We're talking about kind of embodying that energy of being really good at something and applying it to whatever it is that you're manifesting.
So you can absolutely take action,
But there is still that part of surrender,
Of letting go of how it shows up,
When it shows up,
Etc.
,
And what it looks like in some cases,
Because maybe it doesn't look like what you had imagined.
But going back to this process,
Okay,
Discovering the area where you feel naturally confident,
Really tapping into how that feels,
And then really breaking it down,
Like,
Let's get into the mindset of it.
What is your mindset in that area?
What attitude do you have?
What beliefs do you have?
What behaviors do you have?
You know,
What thoughts are you thinking about that area of your life?
What words are you using when you describe that area of your life?
Like,
That was one of the things that blew me away,
Was when my friends were asking me,
Like,
I wouldn't have necessarily known this if I hadn't had it kind of,
In some ways,
Reflected back to me,
By my friends asking me this question,
Like,
Are you nervous?
And it's like,
No,
I'm not nervous at all.
Like,
I was made for this.
And I love that,
And I know I keep repeating it,
But I want you to embody that energy in whatever it is that you're working towards.
I want us all to be in a space of,
No,
I was fucking made for this.
Like,
I was meant to do this.
And just really believing in ourselves that way.
So,
Like,
When you feel that confidence,
Like,
What behaviors do you have?
And,
Like,
What attitude,
What energy are you in?
What vibe are you embodying?
Because,
For example,
If we go back to,
Like,
The example that I'm giving you guys about meeting new people,
And,
Like,
My kind of attitude towards it,
I think that there's a lot of,
Like,
Just nonchalance,
Really.
Like,
I'm so relaxed about it.
I'm just like,
No,
I'm not worried at all.
So there is no fear.
There is no doubt.
There is no resistance,
Right?
The belief that I have is,
Like,
It's going to go well.
The thoughts that I think about it is,
Like,
I'm totally not in control of how this other person perceives me,
So I'm just going to be the best me that I can be.
And my attitude is,
Like,
I'm open to meeting new people.
I'm ready to meet new people.
And my behaviors are that of a person who is confident,
Relaxed,
And friendly,
Right?
And who doesn't like people who are confident,
Relaxed,
And friendly?
So that automatically kind of,
Like,
Tilts things in my favor,
I think,
As well.
And,
Like,
Even the words that I was saying about it,
Like,
Both before and after,
Like,
I wasn't nervous before,
And then afterwards,
It was I was even more confident because it ended up going really well,
Obviously.
And so,
Like,
The words that I was using to describe it were really good,
Were really positive.
I wasn't telling this negative story about how I was nervous and it might go bad and it might be this and it might be that.
I wasn't telling myself any of that.
And so,
Like,
This is literally just so wholly embodied in the,
Like,
This is inevitable.
It is going to go really well.
And,
Like,
Applying,
Yeah,
Just being really confident about it.
And so,
Like,
What about all of this?
Like,
What.
.
.
Sorry,
That didn't make any sense.
When you take this truth about the area of your life that you're really confident in,
When you take that truth,
How could you apply that to what you're working towards?
Right?
How can you transfer that energy?
How can you transfer that belief and that kind of attitude,
That vibe to the areas of your life where you struggle to tap into your own feelings of awesomeness,
Right?
Where you struggle to tap into your greatness,
Where you struggle to believe that it's inevitable for you.
How can we shift that?
And so,
Like,
This is something that I've been playing around with a lot.
I've been just,
As a side note,
I'm always doing mindset work.
But within 2023,
I have been going so hard on mindset work.
So I am doing,
Like,
A ton of journaling exercises.
And a lot of the work that I am giving to you guys on the podcast,
I am doing that on a daily basis in 2023.
Like,
Maybe I'm missing a day here or there.
But,
Like,
In general,
I've really been focusing on this because it's my year to really make a shift.
And I know that I don't want to continue embodying the energy that I have been embodying.
I want to move up to another level.
And in order for me to do that,
I know that it requires a certain amount of focus and consistency.
And so I have been really in this space.
And so,
Like,
There was a point to me telling you that,
Which now I don't necessarily remember what it was.
But,
Like,
I still am struggling in certain areas.
And I've been focusing on the areas that I struggle with.
But then this really unlocked something for me.
And it has changed the way that I have been moving through my work.
And the way that I have been,
Like,
Viewing myself.
Because now I'm taking not just the journal prompts and not just,
Like,
The physical work of sitting there and,
Like,
Writing things out and,
Like,
You know,
Trying to rewrite the beliefs and stuff like that.
But really moving beyond that work into a space of embodiment and really feeling like,
No,
Okay,
You know,
I was made for this.
I've got this.
And it's not easy,
Necessarily.
And it is not something that,
Like,
I win at every day.
So,
Like,
I don't want to give any kind of false idea that,
Like,
You know,
This is something that,
Like,
You do it once and it's done.
It's not one and done.
Nothing is one and done.
We are all on a journey and on a path of self-discovery.
And we will keep moving through all of these layers,
I would imagine,
For our lifetime.
Because that's what we're here to do.
We are here to unlock new areas of our own genius and our own brilliance.
I mean,
If you look at it even from,
Like,
A societal point of view,
That's what's happening in tech right now.
That's what's happening in science,
Right?
As humans,
We are always pushing our own limits.
We're always trying to go beyond what we know to be true now,
What we think is real,
Whatever.
We're always trying to better ourselves and go to the next level.
For better or for worse,
Because it really – I think there's a limit to how awesome this can be in certain areas when we're pushing too far.
But it's the same thing with us,
Too.
We don't want to,
Like,
Move into personal development fatigue or any of those things.
But it is something that you're going to be focusing on repeatedly over time.
It's not something that you do it once and then all of a sudden you have this new mindset.
Like,
That's not how anything works.
It's not like you sit down at the piano and all of a sudden you're Mozart.
Right?
You sit down at the piano and you learn to play,
Like,
Twinkle,
Twinkle,
Little Star.
And then you start to build up.
And you learn and you build your skills and you do the things that you need to do to become Mozart.
And I think it's exactly the same with mindset.
And we get tripped up because we want it to be instantaneous.
We want it to be right now.
And it's not.
Nothing in life is instantaneous.
So why would this be any different?
Right?
So I think it's really about understanding that this is a process.
It is a process of continual exploration and continual discovery where you are constantly tapping into new levels and new layers of yourself.
And you are constantly rising up and you are constantly improving.
And it really is constant.
Even when you think you're not improving,
Even when you feel like you've taken steps back,
It's never that way.
Because you can't unknow what you've learned.
You cannot pretend after you've learned something to not have heard it.
You can't remove that element.
So once it's a part of you,
It's a part of you.
And now it's time to move forward and from that new foundation build up,
Build up,
Build up.
And that's what we're always doing.
We're always moving forward.
We're always improving ourselves in micro and macro ways.
It really depends on the season of life that we're in.
So going back to this idea.
When it feels like your manifestations aren't really working,
Another approach that you can take to kind of tap into that again,
Tap into this energy and really move into a space of embodiment,
Is looking at an area of your life where you are naturally confident.
And asking yourself,
How does that feel for me?
What is my experience when I'm in this situation?
And then really breaking it down.
What attitude do I have?
What behaviors do I embody?
What beliefs do I have?
What thoughts do I think?
What words do I use?
What is my vibe?
What is my energy?
How do I show up?
And really tapping into all that mindset work,
Getting into all the nuance and all the details,
And really closing this out with this idea of like,
What is true for me in this area of my life?
So what's true for me about meeting new people is that,
Like I was made for this.
Like I was built for this.
This is my zone of genius.
This is where I naturally excel.
I'm really good at this.
That is the truth of that situation.
So how can I take that truth and transfer it to the areas where I don't feel as confident,
Where I don't feel as good?
How can I embody that energy of like,
Everything sort of works out for me and blah,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
In areas where I'm currently struggling?
Or not even struggling,
Because it doesn't have to be that there's a problem.
Maybe you're doing really well and you just want to do better.
Cool.
Like,
Get on with your bad self,
Right?
That's totally fine.
So maybe you choose another area and you're like,
Okay,
How can I transfer this energy?
Like what attitudes,
Behaviors,
Beliefs,
Thoughts,
Words,
Do I need to use in order to have this level of confidence and this level of like vibe and energy in this other area of my life?
So transferring that,
Right?
And then it really becomes about embodying it and remembering to choose it over time.
And maybe that's one of the hardest things for us is like,
It's not hard to rewrite a limiting belief.
It is hard to implement the new belief,
Right?
It's hard-er.
It doesn't have to be hard.
Nothing has to be hard.
It can be easy if you choose for it to be.
But it's more challenging maybe to like remember the new story and to constantly embody that than it is to rewrite it.
We can rewrite anything in a second,
But we have to then live from it and we have to choose that every time,
Every time we bump up against the shit,
Every time we find ourselves like kind of flailing,
Every time we feel insecure,
Every time we're not feeling as confident.
We have to remember the new belief.
We have to remind ourselves.
We have to tell ourselves that story over and over and over and over again,
Right?
Until that becomes our new truth.
And then the reality is,
Is new levels,
New devils.
So you're going to go to another,
You'll get to a new level and then you'll have a different problem,
A more exciting problem,
A higher level problem.
But like life,
I think,
Is basically just a game of solving different problems at different points of time,
Essentially.
So it's not like any of this is ever going to go away.
It's just about figuring out where you are now and finding a way to move forward,
Right?
New level.
And just keep going from there.
Because that's what we're about.
We're all about that progress.
We're all about making our best lives and,
You know,
Like living what we want to live and creating a life you love,
Right?
That's why we're here.
That is why we're here.
So,
Yeah,
I'm going to leave this here.
