In the mornings your jaw aches terribly from grinding your teeth in your sleep.

When you wake,

Maybe you meditate,

And then for a moment anxiety beats a hasty retreat.

But then your muscles squeeze your skeleton tightly like a snake around its prey.

Will you just carry on?

This is a normal part of your day.

Not to mention your heart galloping away in your chest like an army of mounted horsemen stealing away your breath.

Believe me,

I know that story well.

As graceful as a duck on the surface of a lake but underneath,

No one can tell.

Sometimes,

Not even you.

You convince yourself everything is just fine until you don't,

And everything in your mind turns blue.

Fear not.

I'm not bearing a sickle and wearing black robes.

I am the bearer of good news.

I am a courier of hope.

You are free to talk.

No,

I invite you to share.

Be the hero of your own story,

Journeying without fear.

You can listen to the birds or sit and let your body speak.

Let each pore on your skin become eyes and let your mind rest its feet.

You are love,

And you are loved.

Are you ready to accept that fact?

And you are no longer alone from here on.

No looking back.

Rid yourself of all doubts.

If they return,

Just let them go.

Let them pass like ships in the night,

Because now you are whole.

Repeat after me.

I am whole.

I am free.

I can be anyone,

But I choose to be me.

I am whole.

I am free.

I can be anyone,

But I choose to be me.
