Calvin shares an original poem called ‘Mystery and Wonder’ which is a voice contemplated on the miracle of life often taken for granted. We don't have to go far to find a miracle. The breath itself is enough. Our bodies are enough to fill us with wonderment.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Listen to your heart beating.

Can you feel the blood flowing through your veins?

What about the tiny lightning strikes streaking across your brain?

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Feel your last meal digesting.

Who is doing that?

The way it moves through.

Are you responsible for the design inside you?

Whose thoughts are you thinking?

And when did that thought arrive?

Did you notice when it left?

Who decides?

What happens when you are not thinking?

Ah,

Doesn't that feel nice?

Close your eyes.

Feel the earth spinning on its axis.

Can you feel us hurtling through space?

Can you count all the things that had to take place to get you here today?

Yet here you are.

That is the miracle.

The mystery.

The wonder.
