A Full Moon Poem

The moon fills up with light again and is about to burst its banks.

Overflowing with the mystery of life,

To whom do we owe our thanks?

Some greet its arrival with a quiet yelp of pain,

Others simmer in pure delight.

A few walk with uncertainty and hide behind shame,

But I stand tall for I know all is alright.

Do you see?

Do you feel?

Do you know?

So much goes by unnoticed,

From the simplest things like every passing breath to the moon and the tides of the oceans.

Even the quiet song of the gardens in the suburbs get missed,

As life dances in the valleys and in peaks.

And when nature strums the strings of my body and mind,

My heart beats to the rhythms of peace.
