Go ahead and get comfortable,
Take a moment to be where you are,
Feel your muscles as they relax,
Maybe for the first time today.
Before you ease further,
Examine what has you depleted,
What used every ounce of energy you had starting the day.
Was it your family,
Your job,
Your endless task list,
Thoughts of your future,
Unforgiving reminders of the past?
Starting with the moment you woke up,
Take inventory,
Count everything that may have robbed you of an ounce of energy.
Alright,
Now that you've given your mind a moment to dismiss those thoughts,
Examine what you need.
What will fill you up again?
What can give you a glimmer of hope after a long day?
How can you relax completely?
Is it this breath you're going to take?
Is that all you need,
Or is there more?
Allow those thoughts to ease as you breathe in through your nose and gently out of your mouth.
Inhale and exhale,
Inhale and exhale,
Inhale and exhale.
And the last one,
Make it the best,
Inhale and slowly exhale.
Okay,
You're here,
How do you feel?
A little more energized,
At ease,
Relaxed?
Sit for a moment and allow your mind and body to connect.
If nothing else,
In this moment,
The only person who needs you is you.
Answer that demand,
Respond to that call,
Sit in this moment.
My voice will fade,
But if you need longer,
Stay here for a while,
Until your tank is at least half full.
I wouldn't want you at risk of getting to empty too soon.
