If you need a little reminder of who the Lord is,
Take a deep breath,
Ease your muscles,
And calm the thoughts in your mind.
For a moment,
Settle into your place.
As I recite Psalm 23,
Be reminded of what the Lord can do for you.
I ask for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil.
For you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil.
My cup overflows.
Surely,
Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
As I read again,
Listen carefully.
Which specific verse is calling out to you?
Psalm 23.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right path for his name's sake.
Allow what you heard to settle in your heart as you breathe in.
Continue breathing just like that for a moment.
And now,
As you prepare to end this meditation,
Come back to Psalm 23 when you need a reminder of who the Lord is to you.
And let it calm your mind and settle your fears.
Have a blessed day.
