Even if you don't feel like it,
You're not having the best of days.
When you say thank you,
Something changes,
Something shifts on the inside.
In this meditation,
We'll practice a moment of gratitude.
A moment to shift our mindset.
A moment to appreciate what we do have and not consider what we don't.
Go ahead and get comfortable in your seat.
Close your eyes if you're able and bring your focus to your breath.
Now that you're in a more relaxed state,
Let's practice some gratitude.
For instance,
The breath that just filled your lungs,
Despite anything else going on right now,
Is a reminder to be grateful.
Your ability to hear my voice is another.
I'm sure if you continue thinking through the last 10 minutes before you set for this meditation,
You can find several other small things to be grateful for.
Take a moment and allow those things to come to mind.
If you're finding it hard to find things to be thankful for,
Repeat I'm thankful for this breath over and over and over again until something else comes to mind.
It's my greatest hope that you're able to find a few things to be grateful for.
If not,
Continue working on it throughout the day.
As we bring this meditation to a close,
Allow this scripture to settle with you.
1 Thessalonians 5,
16-18 Always be joyful.
Never stop praying.
Be thankful in all circumstances,
For this is God's will for you who belong to Jesus Christ.
Thank you for taking a moment of gratitude with me.
Have a great day.
