Have you ever noticed how your body tenses when you're in a stressful situation?
Like your brow furrowing or your jaw tensing,
Maybe even your teeth grinding.
Definitely your shoulders rising up to your ears.
During this meditation,
Take the time to release that stress from your body and allow it to ease your mind.
Let your body's release signal to your mind that all is well.
Start by finding a comfortable seat.
Take a deep breath in and close your eyes.
Release.
You will journey from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet,
Releasing tension from each part of your body as you breathe slowly.
Focus on the body part as I mention it.
Breathe in and as you release,
Allow that body part to relax.
Starting with your face,
Breathe in as you release,
Let your jaw relax and your forehead to ease.
You got it.
Now your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your hips,
Your legs,
And finally,
Your feet.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs to capacity and slowly release.
On your own,
Journey from your feet to your head,
Doing the same exercise with any body part that still feels tense.
Remember to breathe in to each of your body parts,
Releasing the tension as you exhale.
Continue breathing in,
Releasing the tension out.
Now with your focus on your crown,
Repeat the following.
I am at ease,
Mind and body,
I am relaxed.
