Welcome to this Waning Gibbous Moon Meditation for gratitude,
Introspection and release.
Begin by coming into a comfortable position where you can sit or lie down and gently close your eyes.
Start to take deep mindful breaths and with each inhale begin to draw in peace and stillness.
With each exhale start to release tension and stress.
Allow the rhythm of your breathing to become regulated.
Inhaling through your nose,
Feeling the breath as it flows to your sides and your belly and as you exhale allow your belly to soften back until all the air is out and your body has softened.
As we steady the pace of our breathing we can also steady the rhythm of our minds.
Relax,
Soften,
Allow yourself this moment to be fully present.
The Waning Gibbous Moon phase invites you to reflect,
To release and express gratitude.
The moon's diminishing light symbolizes the shedding of unnecessary burdens and the cultivation of gratitude for the growth that you have experienced.
Begin your journey of introspection by thinking back on the last few weeks.
Recall any moments of joy,
Any challenges you've gone through,
Anything you've learned,
Any growth you've had.
These don't need to be monumental moments,
They can be as simple or as complex as you like.
But as you think back,
Acknowledge each of these experiences for the lesson that it provided and allow yourself to feel a deep sense of gratitude for these moments,
Whether they were good or bad.
Understanding that each one has contributed to your current path.
Now gently shift your focus to any patterns,
Habits or beliefs that you recognize as no longer serving your highest good.
Visualize these as objects or weights that you are carrying and one by one imagine setting these down beside you.
As you release each one,
Repeat silently to yourself,
I allow space into my life.
I allow space into my life.
And start to feel the lightness as you let these burdens go,
Creating for new possibilities and growth.
As you continue to release these burdens,
Focus on the feeling of gratitude for each thing you release.
Think of one thing that you are grateful for.
This could be a person,
An insight,
Success or simply the opportunity to be here in this moment.
With each expression of gratitude,
Imagine a warm light growing within you,
Filling you with peace and a sense of contentment.
Take a few moments to simply sit with these feelings of gratitude and light.
Let these feelings wash over you,
Healing you,
Rejuvenating your spirit.
Feel connected to the world around you,
Supported by the waning light of the moon and open to any messages that it brings.
When you are ready,
Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the present.
Notice the ground beneath you,
The air on your skin and the rhythm of your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Take a breath as you stretch out your muscles and when you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
Carry the lightness and warmth of gratitude with you as you move forward,
Ready to embrace the new space you've created in your life.
