So I'm going to ask you to sit in a way where you feel like you've got yourself held,
Where you feel largely unshakeable,
And make sure that those points that are holding you are rooting down,
And if you wriggle a little you get that sense of where to settle into.
Take a breath in for nourishment as you breathe out.
If you want to close your eyes do,
Or you might want to find something to look at.
Just let your breath roll as it needs to.
And then take your attention to where you feel that light within you.
Keeping yourself rooted and upright.
Notice what the flame looks like.
Notice if it's still,
Or if it's flickering,
Or and notice its glow,
Its outward impact.
And then I invite you to use your breath.
Each time we breathe out as if you're blowing on the base of a fire,
It just gives it a little bit more life.
Sustaining the roots of its flame.
And with this you are able,
You're the one with the agency of the strength of this flame.
And be mindful to pay attention to your in-breath as well,
So it balances your out-breath.
And then from there,
Notice whether it's the glow itself within you,
Or if there's protection outside of you,
That keeps this flame safe.
That's permeable and responsive to those who you know support the light within you.
And perhaps play with the image of when the winds do come and knock your flame,
That actually it just comes back.
That's just a surface interruption.
The only force within you is you.
And then I'm going to give you a moment to just notice whatever else you need to do with this.
What you need to be with.
Any resistance in you maybe around it.
And when you're ready,
Taking a big breath in and giving space for that blow.
Breathing out again into the roots of the flame.
Check in with how assured you feel around this,
In this moment.
Make yourself familiar with this feeling,
With this image.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
