This yellow or golden form of Tara,
The female Buddha of enlightened activity,
Represents the quality of auspicious interdependence,
Everything unfolding well and in a timely manner.
The practice of this Tara comes from the teachings of the great Tibetan master Jigme Linpa.
Like all Taras,
This one represents our ability to accomplish beneficial goals and bring joy,
Freedom,
And love to all beings.
The name of this particular Tara,
Tashi Donchi,
Means she who makes things auspicious.
To begin our meditation on this Tara,
We assume a comfortable stationary position and explore the profound innate state of ease deep within our body,
Speech,
And mind.
Allowing our body to breathe naturally,
We take some time to release all types of deliberate physical activity,
Resting in stillness.
We also release all acts of speech,
Both outer and inner,
Even releasing the inner dialogue,
The inner narrative,
No longer feeding the multiple stories we tell ourselves and others.
Resting in silence.
Equally,
We release the compulsive self-identification with our thoughts and images,
With different mental events arising in the space of our mind.
Therefore,
Connecting with the underlying quality of mental spaciousness or spacious clarity.
And then out of that spacious clarity arises a benevolent motivation for this practice.
We aspire for our highest spiritual goals to be fulfilled for the benefit of all beings.
At the same time,
We can also think of our more immediate goals,
Needs,
And aspirations.
With that,
We also establish the foundational quality of refuge by mentally turning towards the safe direction of the Buddha,
The Dharma,
And the Sangha,
Entrusting ourselves to their enlightening influence.
We then generate bodhicitta,
A strong wish to become fully awakened for the benefit of all sentient beings,
Just like Tara herself.
Finally,
We generate the quality of devotional openness,
Feeling that the transformative energy of Tara,
Other enlightened beings,
And lineage masters can truly help us transform our mind.
With that,
With this foundation of refuge,
Bodhicitta,
And devotional openness,
Out of the spacious empty clarity of our mind,
Arises Tara's pure realm full of natural beauty all around us.
Within this pure realm,
In the vast blue sky in front,
Appears a fresh lotus flower covered with a shining moon cushion.
And above that appears the golden yellow Tara Tashidunji herself.
Her body is made of radiant light and is golden in color.
Her right leg is extended since she is ready to get up and help all beings.
Left leg is drawn in because she abides in perfect meditative equipoise.
With her left hand at her heart,
She holds the stem of a flower that blooms next to her left ear.
And her right hand is on her right knee,
Her palm towards us,
Granting the highest joy of awakening.
Upon her flower is an auspicious glorious knot,
A symbol of auspiciousness radiating light in all directions.
The same light is coming from Tara's entire body and from the small image of the Buddha of infinite light upon Tara's crown.
And this light,
Tara's response to our wishes and longings,
Fills the entire world,
Bringing forth a shower of auspicious symbols and removing all inauspicious types of interdependence.
Anything that could lead to suffering or strength and afflictions or manifest as any kind of problematic imbalance.
The schooling energy of Tara's auspiciousness along with her love,
Compassion and wisdom also removes all types of anger,
Jealousy and other afflictions.
All the natural elements regain their balance and everything positive starts to run smoothly.
Problematic inner and outer patterns are pacified and all beings enter a state of abundance and harmony,
A genuine state of well-being.
Maintaining this visualization we connect with the energy and qualities of Tara's speech by chanting and reciting her mantra Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha Om Tare Ture Soha you you you you Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha We then imagine that all things have become auspicious,
All afflictions have been dispelled,
And all beings have gained access to their own Tara nature.
The golden Tara of auspiciousness,
Dasidonti,
Then melts into light and becomes a orb of golden energy that absorbs into our heart.
We release all images and all thoughts and rest in the experience of oneness.
Our body,
Speech,
And mind,
Tara's body,
Speech,
And mind,
And the body,
Speech,
And mind of our spiritual mentors are one.
We then take a moment to rejoice in our practice.
Out of that spacious sense of joy arises the dedication of merit,
Of the energy we have created by doing this practice.
We dedicate this energy so that all beings,
Including us,
Might quickly gain the awakened state of Tara and so that all types of suffering in the world may instantly be dispelled.
May everything be auspicious and may all beings be guided by Tara,
Thus cultivating infinite levels of wisdom and compassion.
We then bring our awareness back to the body and its sensations,
Introduce some movement to the body,
And conclude this practice as we invite the bell.
