Hi,

This is Brooks and today we're gonna talk about being okay no matter what.

I really like that phrase.

There's something really simple about it.

You know oftentimes there's this feeling if I just have fill in the blank or if I just do fill in the blank or if I just am fill in the blank then I'm gonna be okay.

And it's not our fault we've been trained to think this way.

Advertising is constantly telling us that we're not enough as we are that we need something we need a product or service to be better and and it's a prevalent it's a prevalent idea across most of our society that we're not enough and that we always need more.

But the problem with thinking that is we become conditioned when we become habituated to think that we're never enough and so we bring stuff in and there's this temporary elation and then it's like back to feeling unsatisfied.

If I'm just spiritual enough,

If I'm just compassionate enough,

If I just make this certain amount of money or I have this partner or I'm healthy all the time.

It can be very exhausting but it's a lot lot much much more simpler to feel okay no matter what.

And I like that there's something really nice about okay.

It doesn't mean bliss or like feeling like greater than anything possible.

It's much much subtler and it's much much simpler.

There's something very peaceful about that.

To feel I'm okay no matter what.

Whether I'm sick or I'm well.

I'm rich or I'm poor.

Or I have a partner or I'm alone.

Or I have success or nothing seems to be working out.

Something quite wonderful and quite like a great sense of relief to feel okay no matter what.

I encourage you to consider this idea.

Anything you ever talk about it's never this is something you got to do.

You know if you just become okay no matter what then you're gonna be okay.

Like there's none of that.

It's much simpler and it's much kinder.

And basically what it is is I'm alive.

I exist.

And that that means I'm enough.

My aliveness is everything.

If I'm not alive I can't experience anything.

If I don't exist there's no experience whatsoever.

So our being alive are purely existing.

You could say being makes us enough.

Because things are gonna come and go in our lives.

Pain and pleasure swing back and forth like a pendulum.

Nothing stays the same.

That's why it's a lot easier to be okay no matter what.

Some days no matter how well we try to take care of ourselves we get sick.

Or no matter how good we are with our finances sometimes we run out of money.

No matter how much we meditate or try to stay in some kind of certain spiritual state we find ourselves getting upset or angry or feeling jealous or judgmental.

Things swing back and forth.

It's a law of nature.

Life is in constant flux.

That's why it's a lot simpler to feel okay no matter what.

And it doesn't mean you're just gonna lie there and just like okay I'm okay no matter what I'm just gonna lie there.

We're not built that way.

As human beings we're doers.

Everybody has a different level of doing.

But life motivates us to do things.

Puts ideas in our heads.

We're inspired to do many different kinds of things.

Still no matter what we do,

No matter what we accomplish,

No matter what doesn't work out,

What works out,

Whether there's a lot of pain,

Whether there's a lot of pleasure,

We're okay no matter what.

And this again this is something really just to consider.

You can't adopt it.

You're just like alright I'll try it on you know.

Let's see see how it fits.

Consider it over the next few days and see what comes from that.

So I encourage you to give it a try and you can write me an insight timer and and share your experiences if you feel like or or you can keep it private.

There's something else that's really simple about it too.

There's a lot of pressure,

Especially today with social media,

To get likes.

Facebook,

Instagram and our life can be judged sometimes on how others see us.

How others receive us and how others rate us in a sense.

And the truth is no matter how even if everybody in the world loved you and you're still feeling out of sorts about yourself like if I'm not okay I need to have this I need to do this this needs to happen.

It's exhausting to live that way.

It's a lot simpler just to come back to yourself and not listening to those other voices.

Coming back to your own heart,

To your own pure existence with that feeling of I'm okay no matter what.

So I wish you the best with this and take care.
