Hello and welcome to your meditation.
Reinventing yourself isn't something you do once.
It's something life quietly asks of you again and again over the years and decades.
The challenge is that those invitations for subtle or even big shifts rarely show up as super loud,
Obvious signals.
They often come as small nudges.
An important idea you can't shake,
A feeling that something isn't right anymore,
A quiet pull towards something that feels purposeful.
Most people ignore these signals at first,
Myself included.
It's easy to dismiss them as random thoughts or bad timing.
But over time,
Ignoring them can come with a cost.
We might start noticing that we feel stuck,
Restless,
Or somehow disconnected with ourselves.
Not because something's wrong or wrong with us,
But because part of us is asking to grow,
But that growth is being held back.
The internal nudges that arise in our lives aren't random,
Fleeting thoughts.
They're a form of guidance that can point towards what's next for us,
Even before we fully understand it.
Following them doesn't mean making reckless decisions.
It means being willing to listen,
To get curious,
And to take small steps in the direction that feels right.
Reinvention begins the moment you start paying attention.
This meditation is about slowing down enough to hear those signals,
To reconnect with your inner voice,
And to begin trusting the subtle ways that life is already trying to guide you towards something more aligned and more meaningful for you.
Find a comfortable position for your practice.
Sitting up or laying down if you're really tired today.
Let your hands rest naturally.
Maybe your palms spin to face upward in a gesture of receptivity.
Gently close your eyes if that's comfortable for you.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Let your breathing settle into a steady,
Natural rhythm.
Bring your awareness to your body,
And start to notice where you might be holding tension.
In your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your chest or your belly.
Without forcing anything to happen,
See if you can start to allow those areas to soften just a little.
Giving yourself a simple invitation to let go of bracing,
And open yourself to what's trying to be felt on a subtler level.
As you invite your mind to begin to settle into the present moment,
Imagine there's a volume knob right in front of you.
You reach out and begin to turn that volume down on the outside world.
Turning down the expectations,
The distractions,
The opinions and the constant input.
Let the things from the external world begin to fade into the background.
They're not needed right now.
Now,
Gently shift your attention inward.
Notice your breathing.
The rise and fall of your shoulders or chest with every breath you take.
The calming rhythm of breath,
Your life force,
Moving in and out of the body.
And on an even subtler level,
There's a quieter voice within you,
Beneath all the noise.
It's a steady part of you that notices things before you can explain them.
The part that can feel a draw,
Or sometimes unsettled.
Some people might call it intuition.
It's that part of you that gently nudges you in the direction that feels right.
Take a moment to simply sit with your breathing,
And notice if there are any quiet pulls internally.
You don't need to hear everything clearly yet.
Just acknowledge that it's there,
If it's there.
Just be here with anything that wants to start speaking up.
Now start to think back over the past few weeks or months.
Have there been moments where that internal nudge has stood out?
A sudden idea that feels so aligned for you?
A thought that keeps returning?
A feeling that something needs to change?
There's no need to overanalyze anything.
Just start to notice what comes up when you think back over the last few weeks or months.
Even if there are several,
Choose just one of those nudges.
It can be very small,
And that's enough.
Hold it gently in your awareness.
Now ask yourself,
What about this feels important for me?
Now,
Imagine what would happen if you continue to ignore this nudge.
Again there's no judgment needed,
But just observe the feelings or visualizations that may arise.
Maybe that feeling is familiar,
But also stagnant.
Maybe there's a sense of staying the same,
Or slowly drifting away from something important.
Just notice.
Now let's gently shift.
Instead of asking yourself,
What's the full road map to get there,
Ask yourself,
What is one small way I could explore this?
It might be simple,
Like having a conversation,
Writing down your thoughts,
Or rolling out a yoga mat.
Just imagine doing one small thing that moves you towards exploring that nudge.
Trust the size of that action,
And know that small steps actually lead to huge changes over time.
Now start to think about what would change in your life if you start to explore that nudge,
Even if the change is subtle.
Imagine this clearly in your mind.
What could change?
Now notice the energy in your body when you think about moving a little closer to this exploration.
Maybe there's a sense of aliveness,
Or curiosity,
Or even fear,
But mixed with something more excited.
Now think of the thing that you want to move towards,
And sum it up in your mind in one word or short phrase.
It could be working out,
Move to the mountains,
Write a book,
Launch a company,
Change my career,
Set my alarm to wake up earlier.
Think of the person you will become once this shift has taken place.
And name it with the words I am in front of it.
I am someone who works out regularly.
I am living in the mountains.
I am an author.
I am a CEO.
I am happy in my workplace.
I am a morning person.
Be kind to yourself when you say these words,
Even if it doesn't seem possible yet.
Believe and trust in your ability to do small things that will lead you to big wins.
Begin to repeat this I am statement in your mind as if it's already happened.
Picture it clearly in your mind.
Take a slow breath in,
And let the feeling of being that person,
That version of yourself,
Settle into your body as you exhale.
You don't have to figure everything out today for how to get there.
Listening to that internal nudge is enough,
And it's the first step.
These nudges that you have within are not interruptions or distractions.
They are part of how your life unfolds.
They guide you to explore what might be next.
The more you listen,
The clearer your intuition and these pulls become.
The more you ignore them,
The quieter they get,
But they don't disappear completely,
Especially if it's something you're meant to get curious about.
These nudges wait for you to start listening again.
Right now,
You're choosing to listen.
Keep listening and exploring tiny little things that you can do to move towards these pulls in your life.
Even if and when nothing appears,
Carve out time for yourself to see what might be there.
Just listen.
You never know,
A pull might arise that will eventually lead you to your biggest dreams.
Take a deeper breath in,
And exhale fully.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
And I invite you to take your I AM statement with you into your day.
If it needs to shift to feel more doable or real right now,
That's okay.
But listen to the inner guidance of the things that nudge you to explore your life on deeper levels.
And believe with all your heart that you are capable of becoming the person you know you are meant to be.
Return to this meditation again and again.
Listen to the subtle nudges within more often,
And know that the path will become clearer when you create space to explore your wildest dreams.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I can't wait to share another meditation with you again soon.
