Today we will be completing a meditation that focuses on promoting positive body image.
While social media has us compare ourselves to airbrushed edited images of other people,
Be aware of how you treat yourself and view yourself in your own mind.
Take a moment to explore your thoughts,
Your feelings,
Your inner voice.
When you think of yourself,
It's easy to think of yourself in a negative way.
Take a moment to notice some of the things you appreciate about yourself and about your body.
Draw attention to those feelings,
Even when they start to drift.
Pay attention to the feelings in your body.
It may be the feeling in your face,
A feeling in your throat,
A feeling in your chest,
Maybe in your legs,
Your stomach,
The toes,
Or maybe you don't feel anything.
Next,
We move into stating some positive body image mantras.
I feel confident in my body.
Let's say these out loud together.
I feel confident in my body.
My body is allowed to change.
I deserve to love my body.
I am so much more than my appearance.
My body makes me unique.
There are so many incredible things that my body can do.
My body radiates positivity.
My body has achieved a lot and I'm proud of it.
I appreciate my abilities.
Hating my body won't help me love it.
My confidence is shown through my actions and personality,
Not my appearance.
I am not a size or weight.
I am a person.
There's no other body like mine and I celebrate that.
My body allows me to live this life.
Now you can repeat your positive affirmations and positive mantras as many times as you feel you need to do so.
