Welcome to today's practice.
I'll invite you to get into a comfortable seated position.
Gently flutter your eyes closed as you feel your body melt into the chair.
Start to notice where you might have any tension in your body.
In your shoulders,
In your jaw,
Between your brows.
Just try to ease that tension by relaxing further into the chair.
Start to draw your attention to your breath.
Notice how it feels to breathe in.
Feel the subtle rise of your chest.
And feel the fall of your chest as you breathe out.
Let all the thoughts of today drift away as you keep bringing your attention back to your breath.
Feel yourself melt into the chair more and more with each breath.
Now I'll invite you to imagine as you breathe in the air that you're drawing into your lungs is light.
Peaceful,
Beautiful light.
On your next inhale,
Imagine that light going to the all the tight places in your body.
Replenishing your muscles,
Helping to ease the tension from the day.
Wherever your body needs that light,
Breathe into the space.
Notice your body feeling heavier,
Connecting to the chair,
Your feet connecting to the ground.
As you breathe in,
Imagine yourself breathing in a stream of beautiful,
Peaceful light.
This is your safe space.
Nothing can hurt you here.
As you breathe in all of the light and it replenishes your mind and your body.
If any stray thoughts enter your mind,
That's okay.
Just let them pass without judgment without trying to change them and bring your attention back to your breath.
Notice the coolness of the air as you breathe in on the tip of your nose.
And notice the warmth of the air as you breathe out.
On your next inhale,
Imagine your breath,
That light,
That beautiful,
Peaceful light going to the places in your body that are still tense.
Imagine that light healing those places of your body.
Those corners of your mind.
On your next exhale,
Imagine any of that darkness,
Any of that tension being released from your body.
Feel the warmth of the beautiful,
Peaceful light shining on your skin as you breathe in.
Healing all the tenseness of your body.
If your mind starts to wander again,
That's okay.
Just gently bring your attention back to your breath.
Feel your body melt further into the chair.
Your arms and your legs feel heavy now.
As all of that beautiful light releases the tension in your muscles.
Feel the power of your breath as you breathe in that light.
And it travels to all the places in your body that you need it to go.
The tension from the day is just melting away.
As your body becomes heavier and heavier.
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
As you start to gently come back to the present moment.
Whenever you're ready,
You can gently flutter your eyelids open.
Take in your surroundings.
Continue to focus on your breath,
As your body awakens now filled with that beautiful peaceful light.
With your body and your mind replenished,
You're now ready to take on the day.
As you breathe in and out,
You're now ready to take on the day.
