I want you to begin by finding a comfortable position either lying down or seated.
Close your eyes and begin to release the tension in your body.
Feel your toes,
Shake your arms,
Drop your shoulders and clench your jaw.
Allow your body to relax and settle into this moment.
I want you to take three deep breaths,
Breathing all the way in and exhaling as slowly as possible on the way out.
Ensuring your awareness remains on your breathing.
All the way in and exhaling as slowly as possible on the way out.
Now return your breathing to its natural rhythm,
Not trying to alter it in any way.
Notice where the oxygen enters and leaves the body and how the breath makes your belly and chest expand and deflate.
Focusing on your natural rhythm of breath in this moment.
Begin to shift your focus to your body,
Scanning your body for any tension.
Increasing your awareness of each part of your body.
Sensing and releasing muscle groups if necessary,
Feeling completely connected with your body in this moment and becoming aware of any sensations you may be experiencing.
Acknowledging that life isn't as it usually is,
I want you to now focus on how you were feeling in this moment.
Acknowledging that all emotions are normal and that it is okay to feel uncertain,
Stressed or anxious during these times.
Now I want you to think of something that you used to take for granted but have a newfound appreciation for,
Something that you were grateful for.
It might be having a structure,
Smiling at a stranger,
Hugging a loved one,
Going to work each day or getting a coffee from your favourite cafe.
Focus on how this makes you feel.
I now want you to reflect on your life as it currently is.
If we acknowledge that we used to take things for granted,
This may mean that in the future we will reflect on the time we have now and realise we also took it for granted.
Reflect on something you were grateful for in this moment.
It might be a slower pace,
More time with loved ones,
More time to pursue a hobby,
More time to pursue a hobby,
More time to clean and sort your home.
Focus on how you feel this gratitude within your body.
Think about what this time has taught you to be more grateful and thankful for and think of how you want to continue to implement this when life returns to normal.
It is now time to intensify your imagination.
Begin to envision your life in the future when life returns to normal or our new version of normal.
Use this time to become clear on what matters to you most.
Who do you want to be present in your life?
Picture these people within your mind's eye.
What will your relationships be like with these people?
Focusing on the emotion that they make you feel.
Is it loved?
Is it appreciated?
Is it valued?
Envision yourself interacting with these people and focus on how you are feeling.
Remembering that you are envisioning your dream life.
Now imagine where you will be.
Explore this place within your mind.
What can you smell in this environment?
What is it that you can see in this environment?
What can you hear in this environment?
Stay in this environment a little longer and notice how it makes you feel.
What things will you be doing?
Are there certain hobbies?
A specific job you'll be working in?
What things do you want to continue when all of this is over?
Who or what will you commit your time to?
Focus on the things that will make you most fulfilled and picture these within your mind.
How do these things make you feel?
Imagine your life fully.
Notice what you look like.
What you are doing.
Where you are and who you are with.
Focus on why it is important for you to have,
Do or achieve these things.
Continue to explore your senses in this space.
Paying attention to what you can see,
Hear,
Feel,
Taste and smell.
Focus on what is important to you in your life.
What is it that gives you purpose and meaning?
Take three deep breaths and soak it all in.
Allow yourself to be fully engaged in the life you desire,
Knowing that you are deserving of the life you are currently experiencing.
Allow yourself to remain here a little while longer and continue to focus on your senses within this space.
Now repeat either in your head or aloud.
