The body can feel different each day and learning to listen to it is an important skill.
I encourage the use of any props you know you can use to make yourself more comfortable and at ease.
Now comfortable,
We give these next few moments to the breath,
Direct your focus and relaxing into a consistent,
Smooth and balanced breath.
We do this at the beginning of our practice,
Setting this pattern as the baseline for the rest of our meditation.
Just like our breath,
Nature and its sounds are a proven,
Natural way to promote relaxation.
The earth is the oldest known musician and the longer you listen,
The more diverse and impressive its song becomes.
What do you hear?
Take note of every sound as it appears,
From the most prominent to the most subtle.
Which ones are you drawn to?
How do they make you feel?
These questions and sounds are where our awareness will be for the rest of our time here.
This practice will go for some time and the music will eventually fade.
