Today's Consideration It's a natural inclination to seek out the favor of the one in charge.
It could be your supervisor at work.
It could be the person who holds your debts.
But what you're seeking out is not true favor because those individuals only have power in that area and can only grant you a favor in that context.
Maybe.
God,
However,
Grants true favor to those who truly serve him.
Those who are righteous.
He's not swayed by compliments or dramatizations.
He only judges the righteous judgment.
His favor extends to all areas.
Throughout the Proverbs are comparisons between the righteous and the foolish.
A person operating in righteousness is fair,
Slow to anger,
Compassionate,
Seeks wisdom,
Gives praise in tough situations,
And is able to keep counsel to himself,

Not tell all his business.
All of the actions of the righteous are God-centered and thoughtful to the fact that there is a larger purpose.
So it's not enough to serve God just for the favor.
Where there is no vision,
The people perish.
