I can't wait till Friday.
I can't wait till my birthday.
I can't wait till Christmas.
We speed through our lives from significant moment to significant moment,
Casting off our insignificant days before they've begun.
What's the hurry?
Every experience is significant.
Every encounter is meaningful.
Every day is uniquely arranged to reinforce what you already know,
To stretch you,
To teach you something new,
And to prepare you for the next experience.
As with all things God-centered,
You do not have to work hard to find those experiences.
You just need to pay attention.
The experience comes to you.
Everything that is meant for you to experience today shows up in spirit form,
In mental form,
In the form of our thoughts and emotions,
And physical form.
It is not about agreeing with the experience,
But acknowledging it.
We can't always know why a particular experience is presented,
But engage it anyway.
You will come to know in time.
This is not about arbitrarily saying yes to everything.
It's about acknowledging that the moment the experience has arrived,
Your response to the experience may indeed be no,
But thank God you acknowledged the experience.
Chase after nothing,
Meaning don't race past today's experience trying to get to tomorrow.
Tomorrow comes with its own set of experiences,
Just like today's.
So today may not be Friday,
May not be your birthday,
May not be Christmas,
But it will change your life.
Slow down and pay attention.
You can wait.
There's plenty to do while you do.
