Welcome,
This is Dorothy Ratusni and in the following guided meditation I'm going to help you to experience and nourish your inner child.
Allow yourself to find stillness,
Find a comfortable posture.
With your eyes closed,
Take a moment to recalibrate,
To experience what's happening within your body.
One of the very first things that we need to do more of in connecting with our inner child is to go within,
To close our eyes in moments like this of stillness and simply to experience whatever we are aware of.
Allow yourself a moment to do this now with me.
In stillness and in inward reflection,
We begin to know our self.
Begin with the question,
What do I need in this moment?
Ask this question of your inner being,
Your inner child.
What does she or he need?
Allow yourself to sense or hear the answer.
As we become more practiced in going within and in asking for what we need,
We can do so much to provide for our own needs and also to heal the past.
Ask a second question now of your inner child.
What does my inner child need to heal?
Allow for whatever spontaneously arises to be the answer.
You may receive your answer in words,
In sensations,
In felt knowing.
Sometimes we may ask this question more than once,
Typically working with one aspect of healing at a time.
When you have your answer,
You can ask,
How best can I provide this healing or nourishment to my younger self?
Let your own intuition here guide you.
Most of us have memories or knowledge of past experiences where we were not treated with love and kindness.
You can nourish your inner child and any of the past hurts or suffering that you experienced simply by acknowledging what help or healing is needed.
As you connect within,
Sensing,
Intuitively feeling what is needed in order to heal the past,
Give this to your inner child.
Take time and space in your life,
Not only to acknowledge what is needed,
But to offer this.
And as you do so,
You will experience the benefits,
The beautiful benefits of healing as your adult self as well.
As we allow ourselves to connect within,
To reconnect with our younger inner child,
We come to realize what healing is needed.
We are not blaming others nor ourselves.
We simply acknowledge by asking the questions and then attending to what is needed.
I hope that you will use this meditation often.
It is so simple and yet so powerful for accessing the wisdom of your inner child and for feeling and knowing the connection that exists between you two and for allowing yourself to heal the past.
Well done everyone.
Thank you.
This is Dorothy Ratusmi.
Namaste.
