This meditation is on embracing stillness.
Very often our mind is racing,
Making us feel like we are running marathon after marathon after marathon.
Everything is moving so fast because our thoughts are moving fast.
So I invite you to try and find the stillness within you and embrace it.
Be with it and find that beautiful gentle soothing touch that stillness brings to our soul.
So please find a quiet place if you can.
Then close your eyes in a position that feels comfortable which might be sitting in cross-legged position or on a chair or even lying down on the ground.
And when you close your eyes take a few deep breaths in and gentle slow breaths out through your nose.
Again in and slowly out.
As you breathe bring your attention to the stillness within you.
To that quiet space that exists beneath the noise of your thoughts,
Beneath the busyness of your day,
Beneath the rays of your mind.
There is stillness.
There is stillness.
Maybe you see it as a little pearl within you or a little drop or maybe you just feel it.
Imagine this stillness expanding.
Slowly with your breath.
Breath is allowing the expansion to happen.
The stillness is gently filling you with a deep sense of calm and presence.
In this space there is no need to rush.
No need for anything else just to be with that stillness.
Just to be with that stillness.
Breathe into this space noticing the quiet and the calm reaching every corner of you.
Know that this stillness is always within you.
This pearl or drop or just that sensation within.
That sensation of stillness that engulfed the whole being of you.
Is always within you.
It is your inner sanctuary.
And when you feel overwhelmed by the race again know that you can always come back to this space where the stillness is.
