Strawberries

Sometimes, life can be lovely. Sometimes, your life can have everyone around you saying, “It is what it is.” Finally, you fling yourself off a cliff and grab onto a vine. There is a tiger above. And look. There is a tiger below you as well. And there you are, clinging to the vine. It doesn't stop there. A tiny mouse starts gnawing on your vine. You spy something else. A juicy strawberry growing on the side of the cliff. Life will offer you strawberries. Look for the strawberries.

Welcome to a hit of hope. Sometimes life can be lovely. There you are walking in the new morning light. Sometimes your life can have everyone around you saying, It is what it is. This usually means that your life has turned into that old story. The one with a tiger chasing you from behind. You run, You run and you run and you run as the tiger gets closer and closer. Finally in an act of desperation you fling yourself off a cliff and grab on to a vine. There is a tiger above. And look, There is a tiger below as well. And there you are clinging to the vine. It is what it is. And it might not stop there. A tiny mouse might crawl out of a tiny hole and start gnawing on your vine. Tiger above, Tiger below and a mouse chewing on the vine you cling to. But lo and behold, In the midst of all of this, You might spy something else. A juicy strawberry growing on the side of the cliff. With one hand you pluck it and it is sweet and delicious. Life will give you tigers, Mice and cliffs. Life will also offer you strawberries even in the midst of all of the other shit. Look for the strawberries. Be the strawberry in someone else's life. And hold on. Please hold on. Namaste.

I was obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake when I was in kindergarten. I grew out of it, but in the last few years I have noticed strawberries everywhere. This popping up was too sweet a coincidence 🥰🍓
