If you have been holding on to emotions you don't fully understand,
This meditation will help you feel,
Process and release what no longer serves you.
Take a moment to get comfortable,
Sit or lie down,
Whatever feels natural.
Gently close your eyes,
Take a slow deep breath in and exhale softly,
Again inhale and release.
One more time,
Slow breath in and let it go.
Let your breath return to its normal rhythm,
Bring your awareness into your body,
Feel the weight of your body supported beneath you,
Let your shoulders soften,
Let your jaws relax,
There's nothing you need to fix,
Just be here.
Now,
Gently bring your attention inward,
Ask yourself,
What am I feeling right now?
Don't search,
Just notice and let whatever arises be here.
If it feels natural,
Give this feeling a name,
This feels like sadness,
This feels like pressure,
This feels like fear,
There's no need to be precise,
Just acknowledge it.
Now,
Ask,
Where do I feel this in my body?
Bring your awareness there,
Maybe your chest,
Your stomach,
Your throat,
Rest your attention in that space,
Breathe into it gently,
No force,
Just presence.
Now instead of trying to change this feeling,
Allow it,
Let it exist,
Let it be felt.
You don't need to push it away,
You don't need to hold on to it,
Just stay with it.
Now gently ask,
What are you trying to show me?
Stay open,
There may be a thought,
A memory,
A feeling,
Or nothing at all,
Just listen.
Now,
Bring a sense of kindness to this feeling,
Instead of resisting it,
Acknowledge it.
You can quietly say,
I see you,
Thank you.
Let the feeling soften in its own time,
Take a deep breath in,
And slowly exhale.
Notice your body now,
Even small shifts matter,
And gently return to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You don't heal by avoiding your emotions,
You heal by allowing them to move through you.
