Hi kids and families.

Welcome to this,

Our third practice in this series about helping kids and families cope with the coronavirus,

COVID-19.

For today's practice,

I have a special guest with me,

My five-year-old daughter.

Hello everybody.

So we're going to start with our gong sound.

Listen carefully.

Now I want you to stand up for today's practice.

Feel your feet on the floor.

You spread your toes into the floor.

And today we're going to explore what we're feeling right now.

And we're going to do that by looking inside our body,

Checking in with our body to see what we feel.

So what I want you to do is bring your attention,

Your mind,

Your focus down to your tummy.

Have a little look around in there with your mind.

And I want to know firstly what you feel in your tummy,

Maybe a word for what you feel and a colour that describes what you feel.

Pink and happy.

So you do your own word and colour for your tummy.

And then we will move our attention floated up to our chest.

What do you feel inside your chest?

A colour and a word.

Red and excited.

And then bringing your attention up to your head,

Maybe where your brain sits inside your head or somewhere on your head.

A colour and a word for what you feel in your head.

I'm yellow and very happy to play with my mummy and daddy today.

That's good.

So take your time to think of one and then you can say yours out as well.

Now we're going to go through the body one more time.

And this time I want to know something about what you're feeling and the colour about the coronavirus,

COVID-19.

So we're starting down at your tummy again.

I want you to look inside and feel inside for a word and a colour that describes what you're feeling in your tummy about the coronavirus.

Pink and sad that I can't play with my friends.

So you say yours,

Your colour and your thing and then moving your attention up to your chest.

The same question.

What do you feel about the coronavirus,

COVID-19 and the things going on in your life about that right now?

So it could be just the colour,

It could be more words in your chest.

I hope it goes away soon.

So what's yours?

And then lastly going up to your head and your mind.

So there's probably a lot going on in your mind about this.

Lots of words and things people have said.

Do you have a colour or a shape or some words for what's going on in your mind?

Take your time.

What's yours?

Your colour.

Do you know that bats started it as well?

So what's going on in your mind?

Now just digesting all those thoughts and feelings we're going to take some nice deep breaths.

And there's a love heart.

You have to put your arms up above your head and make a love heart and go down with your hands beside you.

So my daughter has a thing that her and my wife have made up called love heart breathing.

So you breathe in and what do you do with your hands again?

You mean love heart breaths?

Breathe in and you bring them up over your head in a love heart shape with the fingers pointing down towards your head and you breathe out and bring them down by your sides.

So love heart breaths.

Breathe in again and what do you do with your hands?

Put them over your head like a love heart.

And breathe out and what do you do?

You put your hands beside.

Okay just do three more of those.

Odd,

Breathe in and bring them up above your head into a love heart shape.

Breathe out and bring them down by your side.

Two more.

And the last one,

What do we do again?

Bring your hands over your head to make a love heart and when you breathe out put your hands beside you.

Very good everyone.

And that's it really for today.

Thank you for joining us for the practice today.

Bye everybody.

We'll finish with our gong.

Thank you.

Thank you.
