Welcome.

My name is Bec Ellis.

I invite you to settle your body and for the next several minutes,

Listen with ease.

Find your center.

My hope is that as you listen to these words,

You won't just hear my voice,

But that you find an inner stillness.

The sacred whispers from within.

Your very own heart voice.

This is a heart voice session titled,

A New Day.

Today is a new day.

Maybe not an amazing day or an extraordinary day,

But new nonetheless.

Because even if you woke up this morning in the same room you have before,

You have never been alive in this space,

In this present moment,

With this present awareness before.

You have never taken in this exact light into your eyes,

This breath of air into your lungs.

Today is a new day.

Whatever was before,

Good,

Bad,

Or somewhere in between,

Maybe it lingers somewhere or you wear the weight of it in some way,

But you are still allowed to move forward.

Life is full of complexity in both hands after all.

We can somehow grieve and find joy.

We can let go while holding tight.

We can surrender while putting up the greatest fight of our lives.

Some of these things are one and the same.

Sometimes we just don't know until we look back and finally see the path we didn't even know we were walking on.

Today is a new day.

After all,

The world is always in motion,

Always changing.

What once was is not anymore.

We are but a blink.

A day is over in a moment.

What is a grudge?

What is regret?

We hold on to so many things we are unable to change and yet even the very stuff ourselves are made of is always in flux.

Do you ever stop to ask yourself,

What is this air you are breathing?

Where did it come from?

What is it made of?

What did you just inhale and what are you exhaling out into the world now?

The two are connected,

I promise.

What is it you are feasting on with your eyes,

Your mind,

Your heart?

What you spend your time focusing on,

Taking in,

Translates into what energy you put out into the world.

Are you passively letting life happen to you or are you stepping in sync aligned with the movement of the universe around you?

What are the words you are allowing yourself to speak to yourself?

Do you remember how worthy of love you are?

Not for anything you have done,

But simply for being.

Yes,

There are always things to work on,

Ways to improve,

Things we wish we didn't say or have learned to not say by now.

But we are all human after all,

Walking this earth,

Stumbling around,

Doing the good we can and continually being offered opportunities to learn to do better.

The question is how we respond to the invitation before us.

What is the invitation?

Today is a new day,

Full of possibility.

Even if you feel heavy in your bed,

Barely able to convince yourself to get dressed,

Maybe the invitation before you is a simple one,

A basic need or task.

Even those seemingly small things can at times take the most effort.

Often the greatest and hardest step to take can be the one right in front of you.

What is the invitation today?

Be still for a moment and consider what is rumbling there deep in your being.

What is rising from within?

What is making itself known?

Sit here for a moment.

Just listen to your breath.

Lower your shoulders away and down from your ears.

Loosen the tight space between your eyes.

Relax your jaw.

Close your eyes.

What is the thing that is most burning within you?

What is the thing that feels most like freedom?

What is holding you back from following that?

And what is the most compassionate way you can move through your day?

Compassion for yourself but also for others,

For even the smallest and most vulnerable being you might encounter today.

What does compassion look like?

Today is a new day and even more important,

This moment right here,

Right now,

Right in front of you is a new moment and you always have the option to begin again.

No,

We can't repair everything that has happened in this life but we commend what we are able and we can try again.

We can keep moving with love and kindness even as we face the hard truth of what we have lost because to lose is to be alive.

Life means change and change means loss and feeling loss means we are still here breathing and living even in the midst of pain.

This is the complexity we must learn to hold as humans walking this earth together.

But for right now,

Let this be enough,

A new day,

A new moment,

A new opportunity,

A new you.

This has been a heart voice session.

Peace to you as you move throughout your day.
