Welcome.

Situate yourself into a cozy position,

One that will allow the body to feel supported and the mind to relax.

Settling in,

Relaxing any tensed muscles,

Allowing the eyes to gently close,

And take a deep breath.

I invite you on a journey today,

One of reflection and self-discovery.

On this journey,

You will unearth all that is no longer serving you.

These could be fears that you are holding back,

Negative thoughts or emotions,

Toxic connections with others,

Conditioned patterns of behavior.

Anything not serving you in a positive,

Healthy,

Or beneficial way.

Through guided visualization,

You will be given the opportunity to release these things once and for all.

It is through this release of the old that new doors can open,

Allowing opportunities,

Experiences,

Aspirations,

And abundance to not only enter,

But be fully received through the awareness of a clean slate and a fresh perspective.

So take a deep inhale in through the nose,

Exhaling out through the mouth.

Again,

Deep inhale in,

Exhaling everything out through the mouth,

Clearing your mind.

I would like for you to envision a long winding dirt path lying before you.

It is a pleasantly clear morning,

And you feel grateful to be spending time in nature.

The day is just breaking,

And you see the sun beginning to rise from behind the tree line in the distance,

Amongst a magnificently painted orange and pink sky.

You take a deep,

Zestful breath as you think to yourself,

This is going to be a good day.

You continue along the winding path as it leads you deeper into lush,

Wooded area.

Although it is a crisp morning,

And you are bundled up and warm,

You can still feel the cool morning dew as it gently falls upon your face.

Hearing the crunch of leaves beneath your feet with each step as you continue your trek down this intuitively guided path.

As you proceed,

You observe everything around you with a deep sense of gratitude for nature and Mother Earth.

The sound of a woodpecker nearby pecking away at a tree,

And birds singing their merry song as they prepare for a vibrant new day full of flight.

The crisp air around you has an earthy smell to it and feels cleansing and purifying as you take a deep breath.

Staying fully aware with the senses,

Soaking in and absorbing each present moment with delight.

Some time goes by,

But you feel so in tune with this moment that time does not seem to exist right now.

There is no destination,

No expectation of any end goal.

You are just here in this beautiful moment.

Living,

Breathing,

Free of worry from thoughts or concerns.

Suddenly you notice a small trail off to your left slightly covered with brush.

It is separate from the long winding dirt path you have been traveling upon.

Initially you feel unsure,

But a little voice inside your head says,

Go.

It is safe.

So you listen.

The brush is dense and thick on this trail as you weave under and over fallen branches and limbs.

Up ahead in the distance you see that the brush eventually begins to thin out.

At the end of the trail is an opening into a wide spacious clearing with what looks to be a bench parked on the other side.

You have been traveling for a while,

So sitting and taking a rest sounds nice.

There's not a cloud in the sky and the sun is shining down radiantly upon the clearing,

Casting not a single shadow.

As you make your way across the clearing towards the bench,

Butterflies of all different color and size flutter endlessly around you.

You reach the bench and discover a single piece of chalk,

A plentiful amount of flat surfaced stones,

And a knapsack.

You see a bridge directly behind the bench and you can hear the sound of rushing water in the distance.

You take a seat,

Feeling the warmth of the sun on your face as you take some deep breaths,

Scanning your body for any areas of tension that could be released.

Starting from your crown,

Softening the forehead,

The cheeks,

Jaw,

Relaxing your neck muscles down into your shoulders,

Arms,

Hands,

And fingers.

Moving down into your torso,

Relaxing the chest and abdomen,

The back,

Softening all the muscles in your hips and thighs,

Calf muscles,

Your feet,

And finally your toes.

Suddenly,

You instinctively know what you need to do.

You grab the piece of chalk and a stone.

Each stone represents one thing that you would like to release and let go of.

There are plenty of stones available and you are more than welcome to use as many as you need.

So taking a few moments,

I invite you to use your chalk and write down on your stones any fears,

Negative thoughts or emotions,

Patterns,

Behaviors,

Or connections with others that you would like to release and let go of one by one.

Loading each stone in your knapsack as you go.

Once you have all of your chalk stones written and packed,

You search your mind and body to ensure that there is nothing else that you would like to jot down for release.

Picking up your knapsack and carrying it on one shoulder,

You begin making your way across the wooden bridge toward the sound of the rushing water that seems to be calling your name.

You notice how heavy the weight you are carrying with you feels.

Reaching the end of the bridge,

You find a stream of water that appears to cut off a few feet ahead.

You walk to the edge and look down to find bright blue water cascading down the hillside,

Landing effortlessly into the river below.

You are taken aback by the sight of this majestic waterfall before you.

Feeling grateful for this beautiful day,

This beautiful opportunity for healing,

This beautiful scene that surrounds you.

Taking a mental snapshot so you can remember the details of this moment forever.

There is a large boulder rock a few feet over,

So you go and take a seat on it,

Getting relaxed and situated.

It is time to release.

You take a deep breath.

One by one,

You take each stone out of your knapsack.

Repeat the mantra,

I let go and release so that I will have room to receive as you individually drop each stone down the waterfall.

Watching as they plunge into the river below,

Observe what is coming up for you right now.

There may be tears you need to shed,

Anger you may feel,

Happiness that emanates throughout your entire being.

I invite you to remain present in this moment,

Lovingly embracing any emotions that surface.

As the water washes away all evidence of the chalk words that were written on each stone,

Feel the weight you were carrying getting lighter and lighter.

I let go and release so that I will have room to receive.

Each stone that is released,

Clearing room for more clarity,

Abundance,

Fresh perspectives,

And new opportunities to be received.

You take a deep breath,

Searching your knapsack for any stones you may have missed.

Once your knapsack is empty and all of your stones have been released,

You stand up and make your way back over to the bridge.

Crossing over the bridge,

Passing by that park bench,

Across the clearing,

Through the trail,

And back onto your winding path.

Your mind,

Body,

And soul have never felt so light,

So restored.

You feel renewed.

You head back toward the path entrance,

Excitedly contemplating all the positive things you are now open and ready to receive.

Moving your head gently from side to side,

Wiggling the fingers and toes,

Bringing your awareness back into the room.

You can blink your eyes open.

I hope this meditation has helped you to fully release everything no longer serving you,

So that you are able to more fully receive all the wonderful experiences and opportunities that this life has to offer with ease and an open heart.

The light within me honors the light within you.

Namaste.
