Finding comfort in your space,
Perhaps adjusting your position,
Allowing yourself to receive support from underneath and behind you.
Beginning to drop into the body,
Scanning,
Noticing what is present,
And then bringing your awareness as it feels good to you into the heart space.
Perhaps noticing the temperature or the heartbeat,
Maybe noticing a color or texture,
Dropping in to the heart space,
And allowing yourself to travel now in your mind's eye to your happiest place.
Could be a moment in time,
It could be a memory,
It could be an idealization,
Place you've been,
A place you long to go,
Bringing yourself to this happiest place and becoming really curious.
What does it look like,
Feel like?
What sounds are present?
What smells fill the air?
What tastes linger?
Allowing yourself to fully inhabit this space,
This place,
And as you do so,
Becoming aware of how your body feels while you are here.
Do you notice more ease,
Expansion,
Perhaps a lightness or coziness,
Maybe a sense of joy or security?
There's no right or wrong,
Simply noticing when you dwell within this happiest place,
What does it feel like within your body?
And then what do you notice with your emotions and the nature of your thinking?
What stories fill your mind as you inhabit this happy place?
Filled with so much that you love,
Perhaps noticing the breath,
The heartbeat,
Inviting yourself to really become acquainted with what it is like to live here.
And as it feels good to you,
You can snap your fingers or clap your hands or thighs as a way to anchor this into your felt memory.
This is a place you can return to again and again to return to a state of regulation,
Of resourced capacity,
As a way of regaining equilibrium.
Dwelling here as long as you would like and on your own time,
Beginning to return once more to the present moment,
Perhaps bringing this felt experience of regulation and your happiest place as you travel back,
Back to your seat,
Back to your body,
Back to your body as it is right now,
Bringing gentle motion into the fingers or toes,
Neck.
And as you feel complete,
Slowly opening the eyes and returning to your room.
