This is a guided embodiment practice to support meeting what is, opening up energy, and connecting to your body. This practice invites you into some movement and allowing whatever is alive for you, while holding space for the unfolding of what is asking to be met. Take it at your own pace, in your own way. Once you have a feel for it you can do it anytime, anywhere in whatever way is right for you.

Hello and welcome to your body connect audio practice.

This is a short,

Sweet way for you to connect back to your body,

To really return to more of the truth of who you are.

So,

I'll invite you to start standing.

If that's not doable for you right now,

It's okay.

You can relate to this practice however feels right.

But wherever you are,

Just starting to scan your body to just notice what's here.

Without needing to fix or change or make anything different,

You're really meeting yourself right where you are.

Noticing where in the body feels tight.

Noticing where the energy might be held or where your attention goes.

Just kind of feeling the shape that your body is taking.

And gently tuning into one area that really pulls your attention.

A space that feels maybe tight or stuck or contracted or heavy.

Just where there feels like a concentration of energy.

And you're going to over-effort whatever you're noticing in that area.

You're just going to lean in.

You're going to emphasize it.

So if it's a tightening,

You're going to tighten more.

If it's a collapsing,

You're going to collapse more.

You're just over-efforting whatever's already happening in your body for one more breath.

And then you're going to take a really full deep inhale.

And on the exhale,

You're going to start to release,

To soften,

To undo this shape.

Continuing to breathe really full,

Really deep,

Following the movements of the body.

If the body got to lead,

How might it start to open up this shape?

Nice full breaths,

Maybe even letting out some sound.

And following the energy,

Saying yes with your movement,

With your breath,

With your sound.

Getting more of your body back,

Opening up the shape,

Opening up the energy,

Moving with whatever is alive,

Whatever life is here for you to meet.

Meeting it with your body as a body,

Making it physical,

Saying yes.

So continuing to move,

To sound,

To breathe,

Full permission here.

You can roll around on the ground,

You can crawl,

You can scream,

You can jump,

You can do really slow,

Gentle,

Subtle movements.

You can move your face,

Your fingers,

Your toes,

Your belly.

Continuing to trust,

To let the body lead.

And if this is feeling really good and your body wants to keep moving,

Or there's other layers to meet,

Other emotions,

You can pause the recording,

You can keep moving.

But if it feels right to start to slow down,

You're going to start to find a little bit of slowness,

Maybe even stillness.

And you're just going to tune in once again,

Just like how we started.

What's here at a body level?

It might feel nice to bring hands to your body,

To really tune in.

What are the physical sensations?

What is the energy like now?

What is it like to be you?

And you're going to feel if there's anything else that would be supportive.

It might feel nice to open your eyes,

To look around your space,

To stretch.

It might feel nice to pat out your body or touch it or shake or wiggle,

Anything at all that just allows a little bit more connection.

You might even say aloud,

I am here.

I am here.

So feeling and following whatever else might want to unfold.

And when this feels complete for you,

You might want to lay down,

Give yourself a little time to integrate,

Or it might feel good to go for a walk or go outside or stretch or make yourself some food or sit or journal,

Feeling from this place of connection.

What is the next right thing for you?

What does your body want?

What does your heart want?

And seeing if you can move towards that closing out this practice in whatever way you want,

Feeling that connection to your amazing,

Incredible,

Sacred,

Beautiful,

Holy body.

Perfect! I am not a fan of very prescriptive movement practices as I sometimes struggle with my joints but I loved that I was able to do what felt good. Thank you! โญ๏ธ
