We all have expectations. Of how our life will look, of how people will react, of how our day will go. Expectations lead to the attachment of an idea of WHAT isn't really there. Let's take a few moments to find the place of letting go of your expectations, to find the place of detachment. It is there, you will find yourself & you will find your connection to Source.

I expect,

Therefore I have,

An attachment to an outcome.

I am no longer living in the present moment.

Expectations of the outcome,

Of what is to come,

Of what this will bring into your future.

Get settled into stillness.

Find your breath and turn all of your focus to the rise and fall of your chest.

As the cool air enters your nose,

Follow its journey down your throat,

Expanding through your chest,

And allow your stomach to rise with the inhale,

Filling yourself all the way up,

Creating a pause or space at the top of the inhale.

Hold it.

Allow yourself to grow and release it.

Find ease with your breath,

Still allowing your belly to fill to its fullest capacity.

Before you release it,

You can place a hand on your belly to feel the rise and fall with each breath you breathe.

I find in my personal life,

The moments when I feel frustrated or discouraged are the times that I have let expectations get the best of me.

Expectations of what is to come in my life being the biggest one.

I feel like I have the path and the steps.

And sometimes when I make moves,

I don't actually move forward,

I stand still.

When I feel like this,

I pause.

I find my breath.

I find that space of growth.

I remind myself that expectations are not meant for me.

I am meant to live in a place of detachment,

Where every single moment is a gift.

Every single second,

A gift to me from the universe.

If I plan or have expectations,

I am subconsciously saying that my plan is better than what you have in store for me,

Universe.

Which is not true.

If you can learn to detach and release,

You will welcome new things tenfolds.

But if you hold on tight,

If you want to have control,

You won't welcome in the things that are meant for you.

So let go of any thoughts that are in your mind's eye.

Release them back and acknowledge that you will meet them again,

Right now.

We are focused on full detachment from everything.

Your only focus is your breath.

In your mind's eye,

I want you to repeat,

I am aware of my inhale as you breathe in air,

And then I am aware of my exhale as you let air escape your lungs.

I'm going to leave you for a few moments.

Repeat this in your mind's eye if you need it.

If not,

Just allow your breath to flow.

Let go of the mantra.

Be here.

Feel your presence.

Feel this moment.

If you can allow your body to release just an inch more as you feel your body meet peace,

This place of detachment from the world,

From your thoughts,

From everything that is going on around you.

Focusing on the one thing that matters,

Your connection with Source and with yourself.

We're going to start awakening you back to the space you are in.

But I want you to sit or lay in this moment.

Feel the earth beneath you,

Connected to you,

Grounding you a bit more.

A place of detachment.

How pure,

How easy this is flow.

When you feel moved,

Start to find some movement in your body.

You can wiggle your fingers and toes.

With your inhale,

I want you to bring your shoulders to your ears.

And with the exhale,

Let them fall.

Let's do that one more time.

With an inhale,

Allow your shoulders to rise.

And with the release,

Allow them to sink to their deepest place so far today.

All we can do each day is show up for ourselves and connect.

To fill our own cup up first,

Before we help anyone else.

To detach from our expectations of people,

Places,

And things.

To allow life to happen with us.

To let it guide us.

Thank you for showing up for yourself today.

I hope you greet each moment with a smile and an open heart.

You can open your eyes when you are ready.

Have a great rest of your day.
