Be with your natural breath as it is, change nothing. Be with its inflow, natural pause and outflow. Breath flows within all parts of the body. Be with this breath to experience its qualities – flow, life energy, dissolve of the limitations and strengthener of natural states. Sharing a practice from ‘The Flame Within’ book of Arul Dev. Here's a practice to watch your natural breath or to even better to be with your natural breath.

A short practice sharing from my book,

The Flame Within.

Close your eyes and just watch your breath as it is this moment.

No changes in this form of breath work.

We just gently and intimately connect to our breath as it is and just be with its flow,

With its rhythm,

This moment.

Listen very subtly.

The breath has an inflow,

A tiny pause,

A gap,

Which in the beginning is not noticeable will come over time.

That's a precious state.

Then there is an outflow and then a tiny pause,

A gap.

Gently subtly listening be with your breath.

Now in the beginning you may notice the breath in certain parts of your body,

But actually breath or prana,

The life energy giver,

Is flowing from the top of the head to the sole of our feet.

Part by part or keeping attention on the entire body,

Wait till you are able to detect the movement of breath in all parts of your body and its being.

Then the breath offers its full benefits to us.

Breath brings us into the present moment,

Breath is a purifier like water,

Whichever part we just are with our natural breath,

That part gets purified.

Like if we watch it in our heart,

The emotions get purified,

Any pain body here gets washed away by itself and then there is a natural strengthening of the part.

That is all the simple practices.

Of course you would get distracted.

The second you recognize that your mind has taken you away without judging,

Without feeling disappointed,

Just come back to the natural breath.

Be with your body and be with your natural breath.
