Essencing is the capacity to place our attention within a field of consciousness and allow its quality to enter our being. In this practice we connect to the early morning sun and absorb its freshness, newness, light, and warmth. We expand our innergaze skywards and let the essence of dawn, the rising sun to heal, guide and transform us.

This is a dynamic walking meditation called Essencing the dawn.

The dawn which is the baby sun arising every day.

Step out of your house before the dawn breaks,

Say about 20 minutes before the baby rays of the Sun is going to start peeping out.

This timing differs from city to city,

Geography to geography.

As you step out keep your attention,

Your gaze within the sky,

Within the color of the sky and walk maintaining that connection.

Now you will see different colors,

Dark,

Almost blackish,

Dark blue,

Light blue,

Bluish white and then the rays of the Sun will be breaking out.

In the beginning you will see it as light pink,

Orange,

Yellow.

Throughout keep your gaze within the color.

It's almost as if your awareness is extending into the space,

Within the space,

Into the space and reaching into the Sun,

Reaching into there.

This is not imagination,

It's a real faculty that all of us have.

So reaching into or within the sky through the color as a medium,

Be present within and this is Essencing,

Going into the essence,

Going into the core of the sky.

You will slowly feel the property of consciousness of the dawn.

The dawn,

The light of the Sun also has an energy,

A consciousness.

So as you're walking through the space as the medium your awareness or gaze as the tool you connect with and you identify with the essence or the consciousness of the dawn.

You can continue to walk.

This makes the meditation very dynamic.

The body absorbs,

Your breath absorbs,

Your mind absorbs.

The property or the quality infiltrates within your inner being.

Continue to walk for 5,

10,

15,

20 minutes.

Now you get an inner sun bath.

The light,

The freshness,

The vastness of the dawn,

Penetrates into your being,

Into your eyes,

Into your thoughts,

Emotions,

Body.

You don't have to imagine that it penetrates,

No need.

Just open yourself,

Be in the space of this dawn,

This day,

This moment.

This is Essencing.

The essence of the dawn permeates into us.

This is a sacred act that can be done every morning.
