Welcome to Pilates in Prayer.
I'm so glad you're here.
This is a class focusing on our lower bodies,
Very grounding,
And it's also meant to be relaxing and regulating for your nervous system.
Let's begin with a moment of prayer.
God,
We ask that you bless our practice today.
Fill us with the breath of life.
And strengthen.
And help our bodies to heal.
Amen.
Mirroring me,
Right forearm down,
Left leg extended,
And lifting and lowering your left leg.
And let's do some pulses here for the last 10 seconds.
Staying in the same position with your arms.
And you're then going to squeeze your left knee in,
Elongate,
Pulse once,
And then repeat.
Bringing both hands to the mat.
After keeping your hips level,
You're now going to rainbow that left leg from one side of the mat to the other.
We're going to combine these,
So doing your rainbow,
Then coming back to center.
Right forearm down,
Squeeze your left knee in,
Coming back up,
And flowing and breathing.
You Mirroring me,
Coming down onto your right side.
You can rest on your right forearm,
Left leg.
Lifting and lowering,
Your toe is pointed to that front corner.
And bending your left knee,
Bringing your knees and legs together.
And lifting and lowering your left leg as though you're seated in a chair,
Staying upright on your right forearm,
Shoulders relaxed.
Coming down to place your head in your right hand,
Legs together.
And coming into clam,
Keeping your feet together and left leg lifting up,
Opening and closing.
And you can always come to lay down,
Resting on your outstretched arm here.
And you can stay laying down or you can come back up to that forearm,
Bring your feet up slightly and coming into clam with your feet raised.
And you can also alternate your clam by extending your left leg straight.
And coming down onto your right arm,
Bending your left knee,
Bringing it in front,
Extending your right leg,
And simply lowering and lifting your right leg,
Working your inner thighs.
Thanks for watching!
And taking a nice little break here to stretch and move and rest in whatever way feels good for you.
You can start to get ready by placing your left forearm down,
Extending your right leg long.
And lifting and lowering your right leg.
And doing a little pulse for those last 10 seconds.
And now squeezing your right knee in.
And pulse your right leg one time when you extend straight.
And bringing both hands to the mat.
And coming back to that rainbow with your right leg,
Tapping your toe from one side to the other and aiming to keep your hips stable.
And we're going to come into that combination now.
Starting with your rainbow.
Bringing your left forearm down,
Squeezing your right knee in and coming back up.
You Coming down onto your left side,
Your left forearm,
Extend your right leg long.
Toe is pointed towards the front corner of your mat,
Lifting and lowering your leg.
Bring your knees and legs together as though sitting in a chair.
And lifting and lowering your right leg.
Again,
You can come to rest your head in your left hand.
Clam,
Feet together and lifting and lowering your right knee.
Feel free to extend your arm long and lay all the way down.
Choose whichever arm position you prefer.
Clam with your feet raised.
And an option to extend your right leg.
Bye!
Coming to lay down,
Right knee bent,
Stretch that glute,
Left leg extended,
And lifting and lowering your left leg.
And coming to lay face down on the mat,
You can rest your forehead on the tops of your hands.
And clicking your heels together.
Well done,
You can push back into a child's pose.
Taking some time now to breathe and stretch and relax.
You can bring your arms over to one side.
Breathing into your side body and then the other as you're ready.
And simply enjoying being in your body,
Breathing,
Moving.
How does it feel to be in a more relaxed state,
A more regulated nervous system?
And as you stretch your arms.
Just taking a moment to reflect on your intention,
Your prayer for this day.
Coming into seated and folding over your legs and stretching your hips.
And slowly coming up,
Placing your opposite leg in front.
And folding forward.
And slowly coming back up to seated.
And closing together in prayer.
God,
We thank you.
For this life.
For this time.
And no matter the trials and the challenges that we may face in our lives.
May we know how loved we are.
The core of our being unconditionally and may that love shine through into our days.
You did amazing today.
So much love your way,
I love moving with you,
And I look forward to connecting again soon.
