This is a meditation to support parents who are in the thick of online schooling their children.

I am a mother of three school-aged children,

Kindergarten,

Second grade,

And sixth grade,

And I have asked my inner voice for guidance often throughout these first few weeks of school and wanted to share some of the wisdom I've received.

Each week I quiet my mind and ask for a message that is applicable to me and all who hear it.

These short insights will feel like coming home to your soul and are on the leading edge of consciousness.

So sit back,

Relax,

And let this message flow over you like a blanket,

Wrapping you in comfort and bringing you peace.

Inner voice,

Please share a message for me and all other online schooling parents.

You didn't ask for this.

This was not an easy choice to make if you were even given a choice.

So in no way can you blame yourself for this situation,

Nor the teachers or administrative staff.

Blaming them will bring no peace either.

Let us take blame off the table and accept.

Accept this challenge for it is only here for a short period of time in the grand scheme of life.

And you are doing the great work of your life by turning to a meditation to help you work through feelings of stress,

Frustration,

Blame,

And impatience in a tough time.

This great work is why you are here.

To uncover who you truly are.

So instead of chasing your tail and getting drawn into the cycle of blame,

Anger,

Resentment,

And fear,

Remove yourself from the cycle and choose a different way.

This is what you have done by turning to this meditation today.

Have gratitude for the choices that have led you to this moment.

For during these next few minutes,

You will experience a peeling away of the easily accessible emotions that most people are ruminating in at this time and uncover the core of who you are.

Your true essence.

So close your eyes and take three deep breaths with me now.

Breathe in through your nose and exhale a great big sigh out of your open mouth.

Again in through your nose and exhale out your open mouth.

This time in through your nose and out your mouth.

Good.

Now feel into your body and see if there is any pain stuck anywhere.

Search your muscles and see where you are holding tightness from the stress you are enduring at this time.

And when you find a painful spot,

Bring your awareness fully into the pain.

Don't push it away.

Bring all of your awareness into the pain.

And take three more deep breaths in through your nose and out through your open mouth with all of your focus in this painful spot.

Relaxing and releasing the tight muscles with each breath.

We hold our stress in our bodies and that keeps the stress within us instead of letting it go.

So let this stress go.

You don't need to carry it.

You have already felt the stress of this situation enough.

There's no need to carry it with you all the time.

Good.

Now bring your awareness deep into your core.

Somewhere in the space of your torso between your heart and gut.

Use your breath to guide the awareness down deeper within,

Going deeper on every exhale.

And once you are here,

Notice what you are feeling in this place.

Notice how peaceful your breath is when you go down deeper to your core.

This is the real you.

This is your true self.

This part of you is always loving and peaceful.

You just can't hear it through all of the noise of your mind.

And you can tune into this peaceful part of you when you find yourself getting sucked into the cyclone of stress and worry.

You can even ask this peaceful part of you for guidance.

This part of you has lived many lifetimes and sees everything from the highest perspective.

So if you'd like to try this out now,

Ask yourself a question,

The first one that pops into your head about something you're struggling with right now.

Maybe something like,

How can I have more patience with my kids today?

Or how can I find time for myself today?

And just keep breathing deeply into your core and listening for the next few moments.

If you hear nothing,

Don't judge yourself or stress about it.

The answers will come to you through pictures or signs later in the day.

So go ahead now and ask,

And I'll hold space for you to just be with your highest self for the next few minutes.

Beautiful job.

Begin to bring your awareness back into your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes.
