Welcome to this morning energy and intention setting meditation to prepare for the day ahead.

My name is Anne and I invite you to find a comfortable position on a cushion or in your favourite armchair and connect yourself with the support beneath you,

Allowing your body to relax and your feet to connect to the earth.

Imagine the pulse of the earth flowing up through your feet,

Your legs and into the core of your body.

Imagine that earth's energy travelling up to the crown of your head and flowing down along the spine,

Along the arms to the tips of the fingers,

Along the legs,

Down through the soles of the feet,

Connecting to the earth.

Settle the shoulders,

Allowing them to spread and yield,

The shoulder blades to draw down your back.

Take some calming and steadying breaths as you allow the body to soften,

The mind to soften.

Feel the space around you that is holding you and being aware of your physical body,

Your mental body,

Your emotional body,

All the sensations around and within,

Taking a moment to notice what you have arrived with today.

Now from a place of stillness and ease,

Bring your awareness to the flow of your breath.

And as you breathe steadily in and out,

Know that there is nowhere else to be,

Nowhere to go but here,

Allowing each breath to calm and ground you into this moment.

Maybe it feels good to sigh out a few breaths out of the open mouth,

Breathing in and sighing out,

Breathing in and sighing out,

To further release and surrender.

And as you breathe out,

See if you can breathe out just that little bit more to the very tip of the exhalation,

Enabling the inhale to flow in naturally and easily.

Notice the rising and falling of your chest,

Your belly,

Recognizing the rhythm of the breath within the body and outside the body,

Allowing yourself to surrender and be a little more connected to this moment.

Let us clear and invite in some energy for the day ahead.

Envisage yourself in your mind's eye,

Leaving your cushion or chair,

Leaving your room and taking a walk outside.

Imagine entering a garden.

It can be your garden,

A garden you've been to or one completely in your imagination.

Notice what you are wearing,

What you have on your feet.

Be aware of the temperature in the garden.

Maybe there's a gentle breeze,

The sun might be shining.

Are there any sounds?

Perhaps leaves rustling or birds tweeting.

Maybe there's a distant sound of voices,

Children playing or someone mowing their lawn.

Whatever it is,

Just notice that now in your garden and welcome it all.

Simply observing what is,

Absorbing the energy from the garden,

Taking in its sights,

Smells and colors.

As you stroll around,

Notice each footstep,

The placement of your feet,

The muscles working in your feet,

Ankles,

Legs and hips.

And then find yourself somewhere to sit,

Maybe a bench or chair and reaffirm the connection of the feet with the earth.

And from this vantage point,

Consider the scene a little more.

Notice if there is any tension or negative energy in the body that you're choosing to hold onto.

Allow it now to just float away,

Down through the body,

Through the legs,

The soles of the feet and into the earth.

Invite in clean,

Fresh energy from the garden,

The vibrancy of nature surrounding you and flowing through you.

Protecting you,

Protecting you,

Energizing you for this day.

All you need to do is breathe in this moment and allow yourself to be held by the energy of Mother Earth.

I invite you to set some intentions for the day ahead,

Asking yourself,

What do I wish to experience today?

How would I like to feel and what would I like to do,

Create and be?

How can I honor myself that little bit more today?

Allow the intention and your intuition to guide you,

Bringing awareness to what you desire and wish to experience.

And if there is something that no longer serves you,

Something holding you back from that experience,

Then allow it now to release down through the body,

The soles of the feet,

Down into the earth so that you can receive this new day and allow these intentions to fill up your body,

Deepening your breath and feeling expansion and vitality with each breath,

A sense of energy,

Hope and trust.

Each breath bringing you back into present time as you travel back from your garden and back to your place in the room.

Noticing how you are feeling in this moment,

This precious moment,

Knowing that everything you need is always within.

You just need to find stillness and peace and listen to the stories of your body,

Your energy,

Your intuition,

Your bones.

Set your intention now once more for this day and then if it feels right,

You can start to bring some movement into the body and blink the eyes open,

Welcoming yourself back.

Sit for a moment,

Breathing in the energy and vitality of your intention for today,

Sending you many blessings and wishing you a most beautiful day.

Namaste.
