Hello beautiful soul.
Thank you for taking the time to practice with me today.
Today we will be focusing on a contemplative meditation.
Intending to practice during the full moon or a couple of days before or after the full moon.
This time is a great time to release anything that isn't serving us anymore and reflect upon the past two weeks since the new moon.
The new moon is usually the time we set our intentions for the month ahead and the full moon we reflect upon those intentions and release.
So today we will be releasing anything and having some time to contemplate and reflect.
Finding our way to a comfortable position whether that be seated or lying down.
Just taking a moment to get comfy.
When you're ready closing the eyes or lowering the gaze to the floor or a drishti.
We will start with some deep breaths just to get grounded and centered into this moment.
So we'll inhale deeply together into the belly,
Lungs and the upper chest and then we'll release completely out of the mouth.
Blowing the exhale out as if through a straw and releasing the whole breath.
So exhaling everything to begin and then inhaling deeply up into the chest and the upper chest and then releasing the breath and two more breaths just like that.
Inhaling deeply down into the belly,
Inflating the lungs,
The chest and the upper chest.
Taking a moment to pause at the top before releasing the breath out of the mouth and final breath together,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling completely.
Allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm and just noticing how you feel in this moment.
Noticing if there are any thoughts,
Feelings or sensations present that have come to disturb you at this time.
Just recognizing that this is normal,
This is part of our minds and if anything does arise to disrupt your meditation or your focus,
Just gently bringing your awareness back to this present moment.
Back to the breath,
Back to this contemplation.
Taking some time to sit with self.
And now a gentle invitation to reflect upon any intentions that were set two weeks ago at the new moon.
If you didn't set any intentions,
That's okay.
Just thinking about what has been coming up for you over the past couple of weeks.
Is there any new areas that are being highlighted to you in your life?
Any achievements?
Any goals that you have achieved or that you've been working on in the past two weeks?
And just allowing them to arise in your mind.
Thinking about what has been successful,
What has gone well in your intentions.
Reflecting on the most common feelings and insights that you have received over the past two weeks.
And just noting in the mind what has gone well.
Is there any behaviours that you have implemented?
Any daily practices or boundaries that you wish to carry through,
That you wish to continue?
And now reflect on anything that's been challenging over the past two weeks.
Have there been any shadowy aspects of yourself that have come up?
Have there been any more challenging lessons that you've learned?
Any behaviours that you wish not to carry with you?
Deciding what you wish not to carry through the next couple of weeks with you.
What you wish to release.
And what hasn't gone so well.
And just a gentle reminder to practice some loving kindness towards yourself here.
We are human and we are not perfect.
Try not to judge yourself as good or bad.
But just bringing awareness to any behaviours,
Thoughts,
Feelings.
Anything that's come up for you.
Any boundaries that you wish to change or let go of.
As I stated at the beginning of this practice,
The full moon is a perfect time for releasing anything that no longer serves you.
So I invite you now to state an intention to release.
Before you set your intention,
Think about what can replace what you're releasing.
When we make space by releasing,
We automatically will have space in our lives for something new.
So make sure that you're calling something in to replace what you're releasing.
For example,
I release any remaining self-doubt and I allow myself to step fully in to my most confident self.
Finding your intention now.
What do you wish to release?
And what do you wish to receive?
Once you've set your intention,
Repeating it a few times.
And after the practice,
Of course,
If you feel called to,
You can write this down.
Once you've repeated it a few times,
Allowing yourself to return your awareness to the breath.
And we will finish this practice by breathing in to our intention.
So first of all,
We'll focus on the exhale.
On each exhale,
Focusing on releasing what you wish to release to the universe.
So again,
We'll take three deep breaths.
And in each exhale,
Focusing on releasing.
Imagining whatever it is that you're releasing,
Leaving your body,
Leaving your energy,
Leaving your life.
Three exhales to release.
And once you're finished with your releasing,
We'll focus on the inhales.
To call in,
To make space,
To receive whatever it is that you intend to replace what you're releasing with.
So on your inhales,
Focusing on inhaling and expanding whatever it is within you that you wish to cultivate,
To call in,
And to create more of.
Bringing your awareness and attention to your intention and allowing it to expand within you.
For three in-breaths.
And then once you've finished your three in-breaths,
Allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
And we'll just thank the universe to close out.
Saying a gentle thank you to be able to manifest,
Release,
And receive with love.
Having the universe guide us and love us.
Thanking the ebb and flow of life.
And thanking yourself for taking time to release and set new intentions.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
I hope you have a beautiful full moon.
Thank you.
All my love.
