Mother to mother,
I do not know what this morning has held for you,
Nor do I know what the night brought.
But I do know that however you feel in this moment as we settle into this space together,
I know that you are held.
I know that your experience and your emotions right in this moment are supported,
They are heard,
They are seen.
Taking your time to allow your body to get comfortable.
If you haven't already done so,
Please close your eyes.
Simply allow your breath to land within your body.
Feeling as each inhale expands your body out.
Each exhale gently softens your body in.
Feeling the effortless lift that the inhale breathes.
The gentle letting go the exhale allows.
Very mindfully just taking inventory of how your body feels physically this morning.
So doing a very gentle body scan from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes.
Noticing any areas of tension or tightness.
Simply sending your breath into those spaces,
Allowing the breath to naturally dissolve and loosen your body from the inside out.
As we settle into this space together and as you settle deeper into your body,
I want you to begin to visualize yourself beginning to walk along a path.
Gazing down at your feet,
Perhaps noticing what you're wearing.
Maybe shoes,
Maybe your feet are bare.
Noticing the earth beneath you,
Whether it's a dirt path,
Maybe grass,
Or anything else that just naturally came into your imagination when you gaze down at your feet.
As you're walking along this path,
Allow the air around you to be dark and gray.
So it's nighttime.
Telling your body that you are safe,
That everything around you is supporting you as you take this path.
As you continue to walk,
Softly start to lift your eyes to gaze ahead.
In the distance,
See a small sparkle of light.
Just allow your body to start to follow this light,
Walking towards it.
Noticing that as you walk towards it,
The light starts to get a little bit stronger,
A little bit more expansive.
And as you get closer,
You begin to notice that this light is the sun rising from the horizon.
As you continue to slowly walk towards the sun,
The darkness is becoming the dawn.
Start to allow the sky to fill up with any colors that bring you joy and ease.
Feeling as you walk closer and the sun starts to rise,
The light is turning to warm your face,
Your chest,
Your arms,
Your hands,
Your ribs,
Belly,
Hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
Shins,
And feet.
Feel this warm glow sweeping over your entire body as you continue to effortlessly flow towards the light.
In this awareness,
Mother to mother,
Just as I don't know what led you to this place this morning,
I do not know what this day will hold.
But I do know that together we can set intentions of how we would like to experience this day,
Of how we would like to show up as mothers,
As humans.
So as you see the sunrise before you,
I would like to invite you to simply pause,
Feeling your feet pressing into the earth,
Feeling your stance strong and sturdy,
Perhaps feeling any air sweeping around your skin,
Any noises that you may hear in this visualization.
Just very gently slide one hand to your belly and one hand to your heart.
Gaze out into the sun and just set the intention of how you would like to show up today,
Whether that be with openness,
Kindness,
Compassion,
Whatever it is,
Just allow yourself to name it.
Once you name it,
I just want you to invite that intention to move into your body through your hands.
So if it was compassion,
May you offer compassion towards yourself today.
If it's openness,
May you be open towards how you show up today.
If it's kindness,
May you be kind towards how you are today,
Towards the natural flow of how things unfold.
May you continue to be kind towards yourself.
Mother to mother.
May you know that you are held.
May you know that you are seen.
May you know that you are supported.
Taking one last moment to allow your eyes to lift towards the sunrise within your mind.
To perhaps thank it for reminding you of your intention.
When you're ready with your next breath out,
Just simply allow this visualization to fade,
To dissolve into the background as you allow your body in this space to come into the foreground of your mind.
Letting your hips relaxing deeper onto the surface beneath them.
Your upper body lifting filled with vibrant energy.
Possibilities for your day.
Just allowing your hands to relax back down onto your thighs if they haven't already.
Just very gently taking a full breath in through your nose,
Filling everything up.
And opening your mouth,
Releasing the air out.
Taking all the time that you need to come out of this space.
When you're ready,
Just simply opening your eyes.
