Pet Meditation
by Andy Hobson
This is a mindfulness practice where I invite you to put down your phone and stroke your pet as a way to self regulate and reconnect with your dear pet. It works with cats, dogs, horses, sheep and pigs but not crocodiles or turtles. I hope this helps and gives you a smile.
Transcript
This is a mindfulness practice for anyone who has pets.
Your poor pets,
All day long,
They're walking around,
Following you around,
Whether you've got a cat or a dog,
And you're on your phone.
And they want your attention and you're just leaving them alone,
You can't do this,
It's no good.
So let's do a mindfulness practice that benefits your little cat or your dog and you as well That is simple.
Put down your phone.
If your cat is calling for you and your dog,
Then sit with him and just straighten him.
Like what we used to do a long time ago.
Sit with your pen and just stroke your cat and enjoy it and give yourself permission to sit there.
Gently stroke your little kitten on the head or your cat or your dog or hamster although they're a bit crazy but if you've got a hamster it's fine it sort of works Give them some time,
Five minutes,
And just sit and you give your cat permission to rest and.
.
.
And have some nice sensory response and you get permission to sit and do nothing and make sure that phone is far away from you.
Otherwise this will not work.
I hope that helps.
Bye for now.
