It's very natural when we're feeling the anxiety to want to get rid of it because it's unpleasant. We might feel anxious about feeling anxious, or frustrated. We might start asking if there's something wrong with us. But wanting to get rid of it usually makes us feel worse. In this meditation, I will guide you to pay more attention to your what you're experiencing in the present moment: sounds, thoughts, physical sensations, and emotions. As you notice what you notice, I will then be encouraging you to have an accepting attitude towards it. By accepting how we're feeling, the anxiety is much more likely to dissipate. It also means that we're developing a kinder, more accepting attitude towards ourselves and our emotions.
