
Shamanic Turtle Meditation

Within this Guided Shamanic Meditation, you will connect with the Spirit Animal of the Turtle. The Spirit Animal of the Turtle invites us to honor the beauty of this sacred planet and all its living beings. Symbolically, Turtles are known to be the most ancient symbol for Mother Earth. They teach you Respect, Love, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, and Humility as they pass down knowledge from the ancestors.

Hello and welcome to this guided meditation here on Insight Timer.
Within this meditation I'm going to guide you on a shamanic journey of connecting with the spirit animal of the turtle.
Before doing so let me share with you the gifts and medicine that come through from the spirit animal of the turtle with my Soul Pathway Oracle Card.
The spirit animal of the turtle invites us to honour the beauty of this sacred planet and all its living beings.
Symbolically turtles are known to be the most ancient symbol of Mother Earth.
They teach you of respect,
Love,
Courage,
Honesty,
Wisdom and humility as they pass down knowledge from their ancestors.
If you are connecting with the spirit animal of the turtle then now is a time for you to connect with Mother Earth to support you and guide you through life's journey.
Though at times you may be slow and steady,
Soon enough you will find your way home.
Call upon the turtle to bring clarity and vision as you walk your own path with balance and harmony.
Now let me guide you on this shamanic journey for connecting with the spirit animal of the turtle.
I'd like you to begin by finding a place where you can simply and easily relax away from any distractions that may be around you,
So that you can find a place of peace and tranquility within as I guide you on this journey.
We're going to start by relaxing each and every muscle and fibre in your body.
Starting with the top of your head,
Relaxing your forehead,
And then bringing that relaxation down to your eyelids,
As your eyelids begin to close,
As you feel much more at ease now.
Bringing that relaxation down through your cheeks,
Around your jaw,
Then bringing that relaxation down through your neck,
As you relax your neck.
Bringing it further down now,
And deeper down,
As you relax your shoulders.
Taking a deep breath in through your nose,
As you raise your shoulders,
And as you take that outward breath,
Just allow your shoulders to fall by your waist side,
As if they've become loose,
Limp,
And lazy.
Bringing that relaxation further down through your torso,
As you relax the upper half of your body now,
And allowing that relaxation to flow through your arms,
As you relax your arms and all of your muscles,
As you bring it further down to your stomach,
As that feels much more comfortable and at ease itself.
As that relaxation floats through to your waist,
And down through your legs,
And relaxing your knees and all of your joints now,
Where you feel a sense of release,
Comfort and ease,
As you allow that relaxation to flow all the way down to your ankles,
And to the tips of your toes,
Allowing you to relax,
Much more simply and easily.
Continue focusing on your breathing,
As you take that deep breath in through your nose,
And out through your mouth,
In through your nose,
And out through your mouth,
And what I'd like for you to do is imagine a blanket of relaxation covering you right now,
Protecting you and supporting you on this guided shamanic journey.
You may have a colour to that blanket that assists you in deepening your relaxation as you connect with yourself and your soul.
In a moment I'm going to play this shamanic drum,
So that you can connect with the heartbeat of your soul,
And the heartbeat of nature,
As you become at one with that sense of rhythm within your soul.
That's right,
Allow yourself to connect with the drum,
As you begin aligning with your mind,
Your body and your soul.
And I'd like you to picture yourself in nature,
On a beautiful golden sand beach,
With the sun shining upon your face,
Feeling the warmth on your skin,
And the slight breeze in your hair,
As you feel the sand beneath your feet.
Hearing the sounds of the waves,
As you connect with yourself and your soul in this moment.
You may hear the waves coming in and out,
As you continue relaxing your mind,
Body and soul,
And feeling this sense of peace within you.
That's right,
As you feel the earth beneath your feet,
Feel your connection to mother earth,
As she provides you with unconditional love,
Nurture and support,
As she guides you on your journey path,
And as you follow her calling.
The spirit animal of the turtle,
Invites you to honour the beauty of this sacred planet,
And all its living beings.
So notice the birds around you,
And other animals,
As you walk along this beach,
As you connect with the beauty of this sacred planet,
And all its living beings.
As you walk further along the beach,
Notice a turtle,
Just sat there,
On the beach.
Allow yourself to connect with the turtle,
And feel that sense of beauty,
As you connect with this incredible majestic animal.
As you connect with it,
Notice that turtles are known to be the most ancient symbol of mother earth.
As you notice the patterns of mother earth on its back,
As you connect more deeply with this turtle,
Allow yourself to become at one with it,
As the turtle becomes at one with you.
And when you're ready,
Allow yourself to float into the body of the turtle,
As you begin seeing through the eyes of the turtle,
As you begin hearing your surroundings,
Through the body of the turtle,
And feeling that deep connection with mother earth,
Through the energy of the turtle.
And then allow yourself to slowly move towards the sea,
And towards the water,
As you begin to find this sense of freedom,
As you bring this sense of clarity,
And vision into your own life,
And your own path,
Feeling this sense of balance and harmony within yourself.
Once you have reached the ocean,
Allow yourself to swim in the sea,
As you deepen your connection with the turtle.
Allow yourself to feel your connection with mother earth,
As you notice this sense of freedom.
Allow yourself to go slow and steady,
For soon enough you will find your way home.
As you connect with the spirit animal of the turtle,
Remember the principles that are passed on to you,
The principles of respect,
Love,
Courage,
Honesty,
Wisdom,
And humility,
As these principles have been passed down from your ancestors.
So notice the wisdom of your ancestors,
Guiding you on your path,
As you connect with these teachings.
Now is a time for you to connect with mother earth,
To guide and support you,
Through life's journey.
Mother earth can assist you with grounding and supporting you,
As you connect with yourself and your soul,
And as you swim through the ocean,
You notice that you connect with the element of water,
Allowing yourself to acknowledge your emotions and feelings,
As this guides you on your path.
But as you slowly and tentatively swim through the ocean,
It's important to honour the beauty of this sacred planet and all its living beings.
So as you swim in the ocean,
Notice the other fish in the sea,
As again you feel this sense of freedom and connectedness to each and every one of the animals.
Now is a time for you to connect with mother earth and all its sacred beings,
As you are guided on your path.
Now I'd like you to swim back to the shore,
And as you swim back to the shore,
Allow yourself to slowly walk on to the beach,
Allow yourself to slowly walk on to the beach,
As this turtle once more.
And when you get back to your sacred place,
Know that it's essential that you take your time,
As you allow yourself to be slow and steady,
For soon enough you will find your way home,
And know that your home is already within you,
And as you,
As a turtle,
It's in that shell in which you find yourself,
As you create that peace and harmony within,
And that beautiful homely feel.
Remember the teachings that have passed on to you,
As you connect with the spirit animal of the turtle,
Teaching you of respect,
Love,
Courage,
Honesty,
Wisdom and humility,
As they pass down these lessons on to their ancestors,
To assist you on your path,
As you walk your own path with balance and harmony.
Now float back out of the body of the turtle,
And back into your own body,
As you connect with your mind,
Your body and soul,
And reconnect with mother earth,
To support you through your own life's journey,
Knowing that you can walk at your own pace,
Slow and steady wins the race,
As you find your way back home.
The turtle is calling you to bring clarity and vision,
As you walk your own path with balance and harmony.
Now slowly take a deep breath in through your nose,
And out through your mouth,
And allow yourself to go to this present moment,
As you reconnect with your surroundings,
And reconnect with your soul,
As you bring through the gifts and medicine of the turtle.
Now allow yourself to readjust to your surroundings once more,
As you bring into alignment your mind,
Your body and your soul.
