Welcome.
Take a moment to settle into where you are.
No rush.
Just arrive.
This is a practice for clearing what's not yours.
Not with anger,
But with truth,
With alignment.
Gently close your eyes.
Let your breath be steady,
Natural,
Unforced.
Feel the rise.
Feel the fall.
In your mind's eye,
Picture yourself carrying a heavy backpack,
A weight you've forgotten you were holding.
Inside it,
Things you didn't choose,
Expectations,
Emotions,
Noise,
Stories handed to you rather than chosen by you.
Now slowly,
Gently,
Open the backpack.
Inside you see individual items,
Each representing something you've been carrying.
One by one,
Take them out.
Hold each one with curiosity,
Not judgement.
Ask,
Is this mine?
Did I choose this?
Does this belong to me?
And if the answer is no,
Simply place it down beside you.
With kindness,
With clarity,
Letting go without drama.
Let your breath support the process,
Each inhalation helping you see clearly,
Each exhalation a release.
Notice what begins to shift as you set things down.
A little more space,
A little more lightness,
A little more of you emerging.
Continue sorting.
Another item,
Another expectation,
Another emotion that was never truly yours.
Ask yourself again,
Is this mine?
And if it isn't,
Let it go.
Now here's a little secret.
You don't need to understand where each burden came from.
You don't need to trace every story.
All you need is the truth in this moment,
What is yours and what is not.
Repeat silently,
I don't need to carry what's not mine.
My alignment is more important than approval.
Let these truths settle in your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your breath.
Feel the backpack growing lighter.
Feel yourself growing clearer,
More honest,
More aligned with who you really are.
And if you notice any tension in the body,
Soften around it.
Tension is often just something you picked up along the way.
Something you can put down now.
Let the breath deepen slowly.
And with each exhalation,
Imagine releasing another layer of someone else's weight.
A belief that never fit.
A responsibility that wasn't yours.
A worry that belongs to another mind.
There is peace in letting go.
Not to escape,
But to return.
To come back to what is truly you.
Now look at what remains in the backpack.
Just a few things.
Fewer than before.
And each one is yours.
Chosen.
True.
Aligned.
Feel how different that weight is.
It doesn't drag you down.
It supports you.
Let what isn't yours melt away.
Let what is yours shine clearer.
Brighter.
Closer.
You don't need to hold everything.
Just what's aligned.
Just what's true.
Just what belongs to you.
Take a slow,
Full breath in.
And a long,
Releasing breath out.
Feel your body here.
Feel the space you've created inside yourself.
Room for clarity,
Truth and ease.
And when you're ready,
Begin to return to the room.
Carrying this lightness with you.
This alignment.
This choice to hold only what is yours.
Have a gentle stretch.
Have a slightly deeper,
Awakening breath in and out.
And gently,
Open your eyes.
Returning to the day.
